Ruiz is a fast counter puncher and will counter Ward everytime he goes to the body, also Ruiz threw hardeer punches to AJ`s body than Ward did v Kov, no way could Ward`s tiny trunk take those shots better than AJ`s muscular stomach.

Why are people banging on about Ward after this HW upset? Bizarre.. He's not relevant to the scenario or division whatsoever. His ego just thinks he is, & his fans parrot his BS!

Ruiz would smother him and find him at some stage of the fight

    Use logic?

A former SMW who's had 2 years out, facing a relentless HW who stalked Joshua after being dropped?

Why would Ruiz hit the canvas?

    Andre isn't powerful.

    Ruiz would walk him down.

It's pointless taking this any further.

No, I didn't pick Canelo over Floyd.

It's not just about being bigger.

    It's how they clash stylistically.

Canelo was terrified of getting countered by Floyd's hand speed, and he reluctantly stood off of him, giving him space. If he'd have fought him hard with constant pressure like Oscar and Maidana, he'd have had more success.

Technically, Andre is a better boxer than Ruiz. But he is a retired former SMW, who only has respectable power. Ruiz is a relentless HW with no fear, who would just pour forward, letting bombs go. Andre could only make him miss so many times before he connected. And as you saw against Joshua, they don't have to be crisp shots. Ruiz would hit anything he could. Arms, shoulders, the temple, the back of the head. Andre would be forced to cover up. Ruiz wouldn't stop unless he was stopped. A guy that size throwing huge shots, and who has good stamina, is going to cause any LHW huge trouble.

First of all, Canelo underestimated Mayweather's punching power. The same way u are underestimating Ward's power. Wards power, but like Mayweather he always chose breaking his opponent down over using power to determine his out come. It was a reason Canelo was hesitant to try and over power Mayweather. Obvious he felt Mayweather's punches enough where he started to respect it and chose not to be over aggressive because if it missed, Mayweather was going to make him pay with countering him. Don't give me the if's! If there were an If in that fight, Canelo would have done it. I also agree there is no need to go further in this conversation because u are not aware of the sweet science to boxing. Size and power don't determine a winner in this match up, and style makes fights.

It wasn't Floyd's power that made him hesitant.

    It was Floyd's hand speed.

I'm not aware of the sweet science of boxing?

You're the guy who thinks a retired former SMW could beat a relentless HW who's full of confidence.

It was not just his speed. Many fighters have said Mayweather can punch. Before Mayweather was Money May, he was Pretty Boy Floyd, who was knocking out fighters often. Trust and believe Canelo felt his punches. With speed comes power as well. It's very clear when someone hesitate to come in, it's because they don't want to get hit with those punches. Ward hasn't been retired that long in which he retired a prime fighter. In which he knocked out the top light weight who was a KO artist with both hands.

Ruiz would walk through Ward, no later than a R5 KO

Floyd was a safety first fighter with bad hands at that stage of his career.

    It was the speed.

    Canelo isn't bothered by power.

    He'll happily trade with GGG.

Regarding Andre, you're talking to one of his biggest fans. But he's not beating a guy like Andy Ruiz, when he has nothing to deter him from pouring forward at every opportunity. He'd be forced to cover up. He couldn't rough house him on the inside, he couldn't out strength or over power him, and he doesn't have blinding speed or huge power to make him hesitant. It's just a horrible match up for Andre. Ruiz would walk him down.
