    Boxing 101 baby! It's hard to use a jab against a southpaw.:deal

    Enjoy the free lesson.

True but if he was as good as you say and his jab was an all time great jab like Holmes and Liston then he shoudn't have had a problem. Wlad dealt with Byrd southpaw stance and out jabbed him.

Also if his jab was so good how come the orthodox Denis Inkin got passed his jab so easily, how did Jose Maria Guerrero got his passed jab whenever he marched forward?

It was Viet's best weapon no doubt but it was nothing special when you consider he was almost 6'4" and had a big reach.

Ward beats Veit, i'm not disagreeing there. but when Joe took him out, that was a time when Joe could punch. his hands were holding out then.

Ward has always been feather fisted. his power is not even in the same universe as Joe. so saying he punched harder is seriously ******ed.

not even Froch hits harder than Joe at that time. :deal

Froch punches harder than Ward/Calzaghe combined?? :rofl

    good one.

and Veit has a very good win over Brahmer. so you failed yet again.

Veit wasn't one of the top boys, but he was definitely world class. he had a good set of skills on him no doubt.

he fought Green didn't he? and he was genuine crap.

made Dawson come all the way down to 168.

    fought Abraham after 2 defeats.

was going to fight a shot alcoholic in Pavlik.

fought Bika after being out for 18 months.

but fighting Veit would be a crime?

    try harder next time. :good

have you seen the top ten in the division? and you're saying Veit wouldn't be there?

    hell yes, he would.

yeah, but the stoppages came against top competition.

i agree that Veit wasn't an inside fighter, but he was a classical fighter on the outside.

his jab wasn't ordinary, it was actually very good. and although he wasn't a big puncher, he definitely was a good puncher.

Veit would knock Rodriguez out. Rodriguez is far too sloppy to win that fight. he'd be kept on the outside too much.

too many people are looking at Rods win over Gratchev as the true worth of him, when really, that performance was a bit of a surprise.

    no he isn't.

but it's not like the fight can happen to see who's right.

Veit was C+ at best. this is an obvious mismatch. Ward destroys him. Ward is the greatest SMW of time. Veit is an afterthought.

Veit didn't have a good jab on the basis of Joe making it redundant?

i suppose Duran had a **** chin on the basis that Hearns made it redundant then?

Ward is nowhere near to being the best of all time.

but it's not surprising that you think that. i'd expect you too.
