Just saw the Pavlik/Hop fight the other day. Hopkins made Pavlik look like a tomato can and took his soul. And to think, some feared for Hopkin's safety going into this fight. But the skill disparity between Pavlik and Ward is night and day. Hopkins was 43 at the time but he just happened to have so much more skill than Pavlik. Ward can come close to matching Hopkin's skill but has youth on his side. I think Ward wins a close but clear decision with Hopkins having stretches where he might gas ala the Calzaghe fight as Ward applies pressure throughout the fight both from the inside and outside and makes the old man work.
