then guess what venue, judges and ref would choose Ward ?? :hey btw, and Bute is a champ , the IBF champ and besides that he's now the cash cow of the smw division !! :yep:hi:
It should be held where the most money is, and it's Montreal or some Canadian stadium, 100% sellout guaranteed. The suggestion that Bute should travel and give up money just because, is very funny considering about 90% of all boxing greats fought in their or their promoters backyard, where it made most sense financially. Plus after the latest robbery in the Rios fight , I guess Canada with a set of international judges is better than anything the US can offer judging-wise. Boxing is "other sports" in America while Bute is a front page guy in Canada, go figure.
The problem is they all accept US currency. Bute should be worried to fight on a Goosen card. The way they treated Kessler was not a gentleman's way. The way Ward got all his fights at home during the super 6 shows how Goosen can play his cards behind the scene. I say Vegas or NYC, not Oakland. If Bute wins against Froch, of course.
its funny you say this and never egnolege bute as a champ, ooooooooo how we have selective opinions:roll:
I agree with you, but I believe Ward will never fight in his opponent's backyard. Hope I'm wrong, though.:?
In this kind of fight, I think a "neutral" venue is something we can wish for. Boxing and boxing fans, dont need bad judging on mega fights like a Ward vs. Bute. That being said, it's a profesionnal sports and so they (boxers, tv, promoter, etc.) are in this for money. NY is the obvious choice. Far away from both Oakland and Montreal for the "homecooking" decision, bias, but near enough Montreal so the Bute's fans could go there to make it interesting financially. Last I heard between 500 and 750 Bute's fans are going to Nothingham, so it could be a couple thousands in NY.
