Ward vs Calzaghe

Calzaghe didnt outmuscle a semi retired Eubank. Eubank was able to push Calzaghe back, but Calzaghe had the footwork to back up make room and lay off shots.

There is no question Calzaghe can get inside vs Ward, but that what Ward would want.

Calzaghe, always needed room to throw his shots, he wasnt a counter puncher from long range nor was he a inside physical fighter from close range.

Calzaghe was a mid range slugger that would look to outwork his opponent with his solid workrate/stamina.

just to put things in perspective again i have already stated i think Calzaghe is a great fighter and in his prime id fancy him over ward, my point is that at 27 Ward has surpassed Calzaghe at 27.

Eubank went on to lose twice to Thompson, who aint on a Prime Eubank's, Froch's, Calzaghe's, Ward's, Kessler's.....Level. Thompson just known for his KO vs Haye, he wasnt all that anyway.

Calzaghe always needed room to lay off his shots, and would need to outwork his opponent to get the room he needed. 42 year old BHop didnt give Calzaghe room for the first half of their fight and Calzaghe wasnt able to do much up until BHop tired.

Man...Sakio Bika was out muscling Calzaghe.
