A close fight. I don't think either could hurt the other, and ultimately I see Calzaghe outworking Ward and landing slightly more. This topic has been done to death, by the way.

It'd be an ugly fight that nobody will want to sit through for a second time and close enough to go either way. Right now, I'd give the fight to Calzaghe - that's an ideal, prime Calzaghe, not a Calzaghe coming out of retirement - because I think he'd outwork Ward but in a few years? Who know? Ward's still got time to improve.

Yeah, but calzaghe has a better version of kessler, eubank, hopkins that calzaghe didn't drain down to 168, jones jr that calzaghe didn't drain down to 168 and he beat them both in their hometown not jOakland or Cardiff. I do agree that it's a bit far to call Dawson a nobody, although he is a nobody at 168 with a glass jaw. Also Abraham was 1-2 in his last 3 fights
