This is honestly a hard one to pick for me. Ward was excellent at doing what he did, disrupting the other guy's gameplan and roughing him up inside. Canelo on the other hand is faster and more powerful. It's a hard matchup to evaluate because it hinges on a lot of small things. I lean towards Canelo I think.
Ward's body was apparently breaking down. Combine that with natural aging and the fact that Canelo is the big draw and likely to get the close rounds, and I'd favor Canelo right now at 168 or 175. Wouldn't be surprised if Ward beat him though; Canelo didn't look all that special for the first ten rounds at 175. Prime for prime, Ward wins convincingly. It's a bad style for somebody who doesn't have quick feet on the front-foot and doesn't have the size, reach, or jab to control the range.
Why would Kova not give it his best? He had everything to gain. You're just another one in a long line of "fans" who reach for their tin-foil hat the minute results don't go your way.
Absolutely not. Ward is smart but not that smart. Mayweather is way better at making subtle adjustments, countering, and making sure he did enough to win rounds. I do agree ward wins a UD and then likely gets robbed.
There's nothing tin foil hat about that blatant fix. If you genuinenly think that was a legit fight I have a bridge I can sell you
