Ward was willing to go down to 160 to fight Mayweather, so why can't he go down to 162 to fight his stable mate Cotto ? That would be a nice promotion for RocNation.

Cotto likes to fight severely dehydrated opponents at catch-weight. Ward would understand how Dawson felt. Two GGG duckers could make good money fighting each other.

    Who wins at 162 ?

Ward by brutal KO. He'd make mince meat out of Cotto.

Even at 162, Cotto could become a 5-division world champion.

This is the dumbest question and thread of all time.

Why is the IQ so low on this forum?

This plain stupid. Then accusing Cotto of fighting dehydrated fighters take it to a whole new level. Cotto isn't even a real 160lbs. What else can you expect from Cotto? Want him to fight klitschko too?? Cotto hasn't beat everyone but has surely fought everyone and always makes good fights, which is more than I can say about Mayweather.

Do you have any sense of humor ? Cotto is afraid to fight any good MW at 160. Of course, he won't fight Ward at 162.

Ward is afraid to fight Golovkin at 164. Of course, he will not fight Cotto at 162, in a location picked by Cotto and a ref picked by Cotto. He has a hard time making 168. At 162, he will lose his mobility. He can be in such a bad shape, that Cotto could actually catch and stop him.

Before I say this, bear in mind that I'm a Golovkin fan, and don't care for Ward.

Catchweights are ****in STUPID! Ward shouldn't have to drop to 164 for Golov.

It's pretty well established at this point that Ward is more interested in fighting Golov than vice vera. The 164 catchweight is the Golov teams attempt at draining Ward.

If anything, Ward is hesitant of fighting Kov, not Golov. It seems that Ward is ducking Kov, Golov is ducking Ward, and Cotto is ducking Golov.

Golovkin is not ducking Ward. He has unification options at his own weight. Ward did duck Golovkin when he didn't have better options: selected to fight Rodriguez when Golovkin was willing to fight him. Actually, he wanted to fight somebody even worse than Rodriguez, but HBO refused to televise that.

I don't think Ward can get down to 162.. He may lose to Cotto that drained.
