that's what happens when you don't fight the best fighters of your era when it mattered, despite them being one division above and below you. how can you call someone a "master boxer" when the best fighter in his prime he fought was kessler, and not jones or hopkins, which it should have been.
you don't become great by avoiding the best.

    elephant in the room.
let's see crawford - spence before comparing him to a guy who cleaned up his division, and then moved up to fight a prime kovalev twice.

Because I comprehend greatness when I see it, know a master boxer when I' looking at one and can process what I see really well perhaps?

but a very good fighter (which calzaghe clearly was) can always look a million dollars against lesser opponents, but it's when they face the best of their era in their prime that shows you how good they really are.
we know he scored a split decision against a 42/43 year old man, who admittedly wasn't as crowd friendly as calzaghe with his style, but doesn't that suggest that a prime hopkins (who was the MW king for years and fighting on the biggest stage of all) was a more accomplished boxer?

Ward was not a good inside fighter, Bud`s counter right hooks are constant and fast.

Better than Hopkins and Mayweather? That's a stretch. I don't see Ward beating Coto, Manny, Marquez, or Judah (if all were naturally in the same weightclass).

I personally rank Porter higher than Kov due to the fact Porter has the better resume.

Well..what weight class?? Two guys 20+ pounds apart.... trying to even them out takes BOTH away from who they are. These large weight difference hypotheticals are useless. It'll just be more so popularity. Not to mention, 99% will just pick Ward...undefeated...P4P... *YAWN*

Manny was far better than Ward, he was a better inside fighter and used to land far more punches.

Bud is far better than Ward was, he`s a better inside fighter and doesn`t have to cheat.

I’ll have some of what you’re smoking. Since when is Crawford known for inside fighting?
