Excuses are useless indeed . Dawwson called out Ward and accepted this fight to happen at 168 , period . If Ward will move at LHW probably he will fight second time with Dawson and we will see if the weight drain was a problem for Dawson in their first fight or Ward is just that good !

If Dawson would've chose to rematch Pascal probably would've been a far better choice than to move down at 168 and fight with Ward and probably he would've made more than 600.000 $ !:yep

Then ya got folks sayin "He dominated Dawson earlier, no point in a rematch":patsch

You can't win with everyone but Ward did what was asked of him and should get credit for it.

the weight had nothing to do with it. After the second knockdown Chad Dawson looked defeated, he lost his ****ing heart, he wasn't weight drained. people will do anything to discredit a win, quite sad really.

The weight affected Dawson more in terms of punch resistance. When you cut weight it's harder to get up from knockdowns and recover. But the weight had nothing to do with the fact that Ward nullified his jab. That happened because Ward is the better, smarter boxer. No weight is going to change that.

At the very least Ward, being considered a top p4p fighter, should at least get credit for doing exactly what he was supposed to do. And imo even more than he was supposed to do, as no one expected him to stop Dawson.

The reason Dawson was so eager to go to 168 is because he, like many of Ward's previous opponents, underestimated him. That's why he lost. He looked at the footage and wasn't impressed. But like all Ward's oppenents find out, beating him is harder than it looks.

On another note, Ward has a hard time making 175 at the moment. In the olympics he had to basically stuff himself to get to that weight. Ward has said that he will almost definitely jump to 175 eventually. But when he does he's going to stay there, because he doesn't want to put his body through the hardship of yo-yoing up and down in weight.

Dawson would be more durable at 175, but he just doesn't have the skills to compete with Ward. Ward proved to be so much more advanced and rounded. Let's not even bring up Dawson's focus and mental problems and the possibility that Ward is improving and Dawson seems to be regressing.

    12-0 Ward in a rematch. He's a cut above.

They can't, they fight very frequently. This drain/rehydrate cycle only works when fights are spaced well apart.

    :huh

Only insofar that 175 stinks and nobody would have much of a chance.

What if he'd beat him competitively at 168, with Dawson showing some effects of weight loss, still LHW champ?

Dawson could've been rehydrated even to 195 pounds or 200 , that has noting to do with the fact that he cut 7 pounds to make 168 ! So if u cut some weight going to a lower division it will affect u even if u are rehydrated. The body hasn't enough time to recover in such a short time ! At 175 is another story for Dawson ! Besides that I think Dawson team focused more on cutting weight than on a proper training regime and tactics !
So it wasn't a competitive fight. Just look at how "harmless" Dawson throws punches. He hasn't no stamina or desire to fight.

Not to mention that Ward isn't a puncher ! Dawson took hard punches from Pascal and Diaconu and he wasn't dropped !

P.S Not saying that if this fight would've been held at 175 pounds Dawson would've won but I think it would've been a more competitive fight !:yep:deal
