Ward doesn't need another tune up, though DeGale may want an easy first defence at home before stepping up to face Ward. Ward has wasted enough time his next fight needs to be against a good opponent or at least the best available. Another Paul Smith or Rodriguez simply isn't acceptable considering the amount of time he has wasted already. But Ward/DeGale is the fight I want to see most at supermiddle.
Ward doesn't fight guys who have boxing skills. He only fights punchers who fans see as a threat but are actually easy for Ward to hit and defend against.
It's the best possible fight if Ward plans to stay at 168. DeGale would need to perform at the highest level for the full 12 rounds rather than 6 rounds as he did vs Dirrell to have a chance.
no way degale takes this fight until his rematched groves, too mch money to be made in that unification
DeGale said he's not interested in a Groves rematch and that he'd take a fight with either Ward or Froch should the opportunity rises.
Are you taking the mick. Ward would beat degale so easily. It would be mayweather pacquaio again, a boring 12 round boxing lesson.
I think Degale needs to grow into being a champ like Ward was able to do before they face off. I would favour Degale but am not sure it will happen. Ward hasnt seemed interested in facing top SMW boxer movers and wasnt interested in facing Bute, didnt face Andre Dirrell and apparently had a changle of mind about facing Degale.
