Ward vs Fonfara @ LHW 12 rounds

Fonfara will land more than the scores may indicate, but I really wouldn't see him winning many rounds.

 

Now that Ward is moving into a division where the guys are taller than him he wont be able to swing his head around and butt everybody blind. The Kessler and Bika fights were monstrosities.

 

It would be Wards best opponent in a while and one of the better punchers he has faced so if Ward has slipped due to inactivity or gets caught by something it could get interesting

That said Ward should win this one with ease, maybe Fonfara gets in something late like vs Stevenson and Campillo. Ward doesn't have Stevensons punch as a deterrent in a Ward fight but Ward has better defense and versatility than Stevenson

 

I agree with that. That should be his second fight at the full 175 weight and after that he should be stepping up to Kovalev.

i think both sides ward/kova had an idea of when they want the fight to take place....i could see ward taking a fonfara level fight in the summer of '16

Ward has the perfect idea when he wants to fight Kovalev -- NEVER. He would want 20 million to fight Kova.

 

Will Ward even fight?

 

We dont know how Ward gonna react, if he is in the ring with a top 10 LHW and not Paul Smith or Brohan Murdock.

 

Ward which handled Froch or even one which handled Rodriguez will have no problems with Fonfara who is really a B level fighter. The question is: do we still have that Ward or there is something wrong with him ?

 

Something must be wrong with him because apparently he's really good but he doesn't box :think
