    Difference is genius that Cotto FIGHTS in GGG's weight class, he is the Lineal Champion in GGG's weight class, does that make sense now :-(
    GGG has every right to demand Cotto fight him, or vacate his precious belt.

    What would this fight mean for Ward? Nothing. GGG isn't even fully proven at 160 let alone 168 (where he's not proven at all).

    Would be basically another Dawson win.

    He doesn't understand this, he keeps reciting the same nonsense and it's so ridiculous it's almost untrue. You can tell him this a million times and he'll still say Golovkin is picking on a smaller guy.

    thats the whole thing...that belt isnt precious...which is why the pursuit of it is ridiculous and fruitless....everyone already realizes ggg is the man at mw....few deny it.....

    what ggg wants is to use the names of the fighters ...of cotto....to build himself on....and he cant get it...and you guys cry about the belt like it means something.....it doesnt

    It will be a filler , he can stall for more time before going up himself while beating the boogyman which hypes him more then a Pascal or Kovalev win....
    GGG >>> Kov in popularity (you will an empty Mandlay bay or tons of free tickets on the weekend).

    Its ideal for Ward as Cotto is Ideal for GGG (same weight class or not).

    Great post, that's exactly what it is, people don't want to see a good fight, they want to see Golovkin beaten outside his comfort zone (his weight class), Ward is basically their shining ray of light to see Golovkin get "exposed", been saying this for ages now.

    GGG wants to unify his division, Cotto has to either vacate his belt or fight GGG. His division comes first. History will not be kind to GGG if he only controls one belt, history will be kind to GGG if he unifies his division. Then he can move up.

    miguel cotto is a welterweight man....career ww...hes blown up to jr mw late in his career and thats a stretch....just because he holds some belt doesnt mean hes a mw man

    like i said...u guys are just a bunch of ggg fanboys...this will end similar to your pac fandom....hell be face down or outclassed and youll still be here whining and crying about how he was hurt or robbed or unmotivated.....its sad....can see it coming a mile away....then itll be on to the next big thing....

    hes no different than any other guy....risk/reward....he isnt a superhero or cut from a different cloth where he wants challenges

    Do you believe a Cotto fight will happen ? as a GGG fan i feel that it wont , Cotto either vacates if he wins vs canelo or he sells it to floyd.
    if Canelo wins , he gets 1/2 vol before WBC forces him to fight GGG and dont kid yourself that if Floyd/Cotto comes for a rematch they wont sanction it , GGG for them is insurance if the big money makers lose the belt , if Geale had won vs Cotto he wouldnt get even 1 vol before being forced to fight GGG.
    this is situation is ****ed up , but i feel K2 needs a different plan , they know those Canelo/Cotto fight wont happen in the next 1.5-2 years.

    Fact is that at the moment he's a middleweight, he fights there and he holds a belt there (which many consider the crown, the lineal title that is), this is a fact, what you posted is not relevent.

    Considering how active Golovkin is, the aura of invincibility surrounding him, and the fact that he is beginning to gain some mainstream attention indicates otherwise to me.

    This is the fight Ward should be doing everything in his power to land, including making concessions (financial or otherwise - just not weight) if that's what it takes.

    history wont be kind to ggg unless he puts an elite p4p talent on his resume...win or lose.....he doesnt even have a very good fighter on it(que you guys telling us geale and murray are very good fighters).....his resume is utter garbage...it borders on horrible for a fighter of his caliber and stature.......theres a career defining challenge staring him in the face and he doesnt want it

    You are hating again , where did ppl say he is the next superhero ? he has fans , they are allowed to cheer for him and claim he is the best blablabla , but he is still a boxer with a manager like the rest of them , dont know why you judge him SO harshly when you give a pass to everyone else (your boy ward included) . get real mate.
