Douglas? I've never actually even heard of him and I've been a pretty avid middleweight division follower ever since I started watching boxing. This is poor, he doesn't need these kind of fights anymore.
if ggg fought ward...win or lose..id give him his props and wouldnt say a bad thing about him....his fans? maybe thats a different story.......but theyd have had it coming......honestly though i prob wouldnt even....i actually give him alot of props for finally taking the leap....and he could still go back to mw and dominate(most likely)
You really dont think so? I can see Froch being a better win, and you could argue Kessler but.. Right now, regardless of haters gleefully pointing out no "lineal" champ has been willing to get in the ring GGG is still almost universally accepted as the best 160lb fighter. Ward is still considered the best 168lb fighter. Its not even a true "full division" between them, its one of the new catchweight divisions. I really fail to see how it would not be a huge win, or even be a bad loss for either guy no matter the outcome. I really think people try to think in "historical" terms way too much when talking about contemporary fights. It really skews the perspective. The subject of which eras were better, and such is best done long after the fact when prejudices have faded and tape and records can be calmly examined. The fact is, that regardless of anything else - GGG and Ward are currently the best in their division. How could it *not* be a historically significant fight, and a great win and a small loss for either guy. At least in terms of real substance.
typical response from someone who is constantly getting bent over a barrel and shown the 50 states...its obvious you have nothing of relevance to add to this discussion....and your response is the sad, pathetic, result
Excuses already. Geez. You refuge Manny Pacquiao fans that are now GGG were and always are bi***es. Nothing new in this forum.
It takes a pretentious, daft and acrid charlatan to even suggest he is engendering any substantial argument. You repeat the same drivel over and over again.... :fy
these guys...man some of them...still...insisting its ok for ggg to fight cotto.....what offends me isnt just the notion that fight is ok....but that ggg should be ok with it and get props for it.... manny pac is listed at 5-5 1/2 to 5-6 with a 67 inch reach...cotto is listed at 5-7 with a 67 inch reach if manny pac fought a mw champ and got his head beat in...would you be ok with it? would you root on the mw further in his career and call it his best win of his career? if the mw was a career mw with 3 inches in height and reach?
Against a lightheavy weight :huh You know, it says something when the only person that can beat GGG is someone that re-hydrates to 190 on fight night, and can compete in the LHW division. :hey
so did cotto beat the lineal mw champ or did he beat up an injured sergio on one leg? because ive heard alot of people here say the latter......and geale is a c level/b-minus at best fighter.....
