Ward has to keep distance and use his feet to perfection the whole 12 rounds and jab and counter Kessler if he wants to win. I cannot see how Ward could trade punches with Kessler and be succesfull. But more important - Ward has to avoid the jab if he doesnt want to get caught or cut by the 8th round or so.

The fight will play out like this:
Kessler will try to conquer the midle of the ring and dictate things with his jab. Everytime Ward tries to get in, Kessler will try to counter. ward will get to Kessler with some punches and try to rough things up a bit with clinching and foul punches. Remember - the ref is from California.

But - the first three rounds will be relatively cautious from both fighters but once Ward opens up he will get hit. In rounds 4 to 6 Kessler will put more pressure on Ward and try some combinations. 4-5-6 punch combinations combined with pressure.

Rounds 8-10 Ward will get hit solid eventually and Kessler will be there to finish him.

Obviously, alot of this prediction depends on how good Wards chin is - because he IS going to be hit. Everybody Kessler has faced has been hit SOLID.

But my prediction is that Kessler will catch Ward in round 6, 7, 8 or 9 and finish him in round 10.

But basically Ward needs to have a good chin, superb movement and the technical ability to outjab and outpoint Kessler. If he can do this he could win a UD.

I just dont see that happening.

    Kessler TKO 10.:deal

Right now according to the ESB poll here. Kessler is the 3/1 favorite.

    Sounds about right.

The way I see it if Ward comes to win... and I think he will... he'll get broken down and stopped. If he runs he can probably last 12 and lose a hugely wide decision but I think he's hungry enough to actually try to win.

    Kessler uses his Jab

Ward tries to take the fight to the inside

Kessler finishes it off with a lead right that almost turns into a right upper cut

Kessler's going to win this fight but I seriously doubt Ward is getting stopped. Even if he is green Ward is probably the slickest fighter Kessler has faced since you know who. I was very impressed by his ability to withstand Miranda with ease. He should be able to last the distace.

Its sorted. Theyve put in a judge from South Africa and one from Sweden. The ref is still from California.

Kessler looked iffy in his last fight, timing was well off,and when he was throwing punches at an on the ropes target he was missing big time......its gonna be different this one, nothing saps you like a slickster and making you look dumb...you get frustrated and make mistakes.Ward is up for this, once he warms to it he'll start to shine Ward s.d
