The guys who are picking Kessler over Ward are probably the same guys who picked Hatton over Mayweather and/or Pacquiao....

Andre Ward has several styles and is basically a much better boxer than the limited, euro style Kessler.......and did I forget to mention...he's an american gold medalist.

    Easy pick.

    Ward wins. Clear UD.

No, the Andrade win isnt that impressive to me because i dont rate Andrade highly.

And beating Beyer the same man that fought to a draw with Sakio Bika is not at all impressive.

:patsch Ward have 19 pro fights...with only one known opponent,in miranda who he couldn´t stop!
I know he´s a AMERICAN gold medalist..but this is pro boxing over 12 rounds..Ward have ONE fight that went 12 rounds...
    He´s a talented fighter,but untested.
I know from your earlier quotes that you hate kessler, and don´t know that much about boxing.
    :-(

Ward is still abit unproven. So you would have to favor Kessler. BUT I think that Ward is the better fighter, but being the better fighter isnt always enough to win a fight. My gut tells me that Ward will win the fight and do so fairly easy, but my head says that Kessler who has been there will pull it off. I think that it why this is a great fight, I think that its the right time for Kessler to get Ward. On the flip side Ward is a big guy, I dont think that many understand that, Ward is the biggest fighter outside of Andrade that Kessler has faced. I dont know. We will just have to see how it plays out.:think

not at all never said he did. But acting like Kessler's resume is great or something to marvel at is non sense.

Man you cant tell those guys anything, they make it sound like Kessler has a great resume, and he doesnt. anytime your best wins are vs Mundine and Adrade you need to put in alot more work

Look, Henrik, there ARE a few Kessler-haters who will go out of their way to bash Kessler. I think we all know that. Guys like Axe.

But let's be serious here. Kessler has looked good in several fights, but he also has only had one fight at the absolute top level and he lost. Miranda is not so far from the level Kessler has operated on apart from the Calzaghe fight. In fact, Andre won rounds from Miranda more convincingly that anyone else ever has - including Abraham Arthur, Pavlik, Green etc. Ward is a highly skilled fighter and so far (because I agree that he is less proven than Kessler of course - but that doesn't mean he will loose... remember also that Kessler was less proven than Siaca, and Beyer.. and he still won) I think the clever money is on an open fight.

Ward, however, has the advantage of being in his comfortzone with the fight taking place where he was born and grew up.

Found this as I was researching Kessler. Apparently it is his ex-manager talking to him.

Ward seems to be the most dangerous opponent for Kessler imo. But if the "old" Kessler show up in Oakland Ward will have his ash handled. Can't wait!
