Ward vs Kessler

Ward will have a good strategy. He would have to look out for the uppercuts when he tries to come in and clinch. Kessler caught Calzaghe with it when he did the same. But Ward can watch the Calzaghe fight as for clues how to approach this. Kessler had no answer and no plan B. Kessler can just do his thing which is good enough to beat everybody he has fought so far which were not really well schooled trained guys. Ward has seen the euro stand up style before so its not going to be a shock and awe thing. Kessler does not seem to be any kind of infighter and if Ward can get in his space and just do his thing then Kessler will have to land something serious.

 

Both are good at distance. However with Ward beign the faster and more agile fighter he should win on the outside. Ward is a pure boxer and Kessler will have to try to rough him up.

If Ward can dance around Kessler he should have it in the bag. But it is not going to be a simple task, because Kessler can bang.

 

I like Ward but I don't think he's ready for this challenge. It's a tough ask fighting Kessler first up.

but from what i seen so far dre's got the tools to beat kess. -inside & out.

 

Kessler, but Showtime wants Ward to win, so watch out for the judges and referee. Commentators will try to avoid giving Kessler any credit for anything.

I think Andre Ward is a great talent,and a good boxer.
BUT he has only miranda as a notible win!
Fought 19(?) fights,Kessler has been a Worldchamp for YEARS....WITH 1 loss in 41 fights.
7 worldchampion fights.
Ward IS UNTESTED.
How will he react win he meet some opponents who can fight,and BOX for 12 rounds...
Time will tell...
