I hope you're right. I think Ward has much more talent, but Kessler has power and experience on his side. I hope talent wins out.
Ward has his referee, his judges, his venue, everythihg, so, Kessler has to win by knockout. Referee will help Ward get up, etc.
Thanks. First off - I always appreciate, when someone is trying to enlighten others, and does so with an analysis. Now to your thread post: You need to understand that you need to adress a fighter relative to who he is going to fight against. Now it so happens that he is gonna face some of the very best of fighters at 168, some whose main force are great Ds, great power, great footwork, granite chins, ring generalship, anticipation, jabs, versatility etc etc. Some of which are combined into one person. I'll give you that I was a bit harsh on his footwork, which has improved drastically, but he has a extremely wide stance, maybe to improve his balance. However, his feet are almost in the same line, which negates this effect, and actually gives him poor balance. But he moves pretty well in the ring, and is pretty good on the backfoot. His power is one of the weakest in the tournament, if not the weakest - again in comparison. He would not even be a hardhitter at 160. In this tournament he will face some of the hardest hitters in the game. Otherwise I somewhat agree with the rest. Now unfortunately for Ward, he will square it off against the best SMW, approx. the top 3-4 of all time(which is not long). Kessler has one of the best jabs in the business, and has longer reach than Ward. Like Ward he has an extremely good boxing IQ, coupled with anticipation, timing, precision, footwork, ring generalship to get control of the center of the ring. All of which are level(s) above Ward, as it is(which doesn't mean that Ward is terrible, bad - because it is good). Kessler also has devastating power, an awesome uppercut, very good stamina(not Joe-like), but fights at very high pace from start to finish, rarely interupted by holdning, which almost never happens in his fights due to his great footwork and anticipation. Ward like to charge in, force his opponents to the ropes, and as you say bully his opponents. But here we are talking about a guy who can move, and is much stronger than Ward. Now the D. Kessler D is not as great as it used to be, due to a slight change in style, but it is heaps above Ward, who is open on the backfoot, when in offense - which will be devastating against Kessler. It is not terrible like Dirrells, but against this kind of opposition it is really not good enough. And then there is experience. Ward has never faced this kind of competition before, all are more experienced than he is, have had important title fights, and have fought against adversity. How will Ward handle himself when fighting adversity? It's a question he can't answer yet. Lastly, Ward has many assets, not question about it, but he excels in none of them. He is a work in progress against fully evolved fighters.
If you disagree with that, then you have to wait and see, while I already know what is gonna happen. But good luck to your boxer nonetheless.
Why don't you put it into context and post what it was a reply to? And after that, start posting BOXING TOPICS for Christ's sake! At this point it has just become obviously apparent that Kessler fans are sensationalized nationalists who have Kessler and only Kessler. The majority of you feel that Kessler is going to win simply because you are from Denmark, he is from Denmark. Sorry, doesn't work that way.
likewise it is apparent, that your trailerpark life and the wannabe black thug syndrome you have, is clouding your judgement:yep that makes it 6-0
kessler is gonna win simply because he is a better fighter than the overhyped and untested ward....:yep
after this fight, the son og god, will be known as the son of ******, and after dirrell is ktfo by froch, he will switch name from matrix, to no-trix:yep
