We shall see what? If you think Ward will win then state proper reasons and not just giberish. Comparing him to Calzaghe is absolutely nuts. He hasn't beaten any fighter save Miranda worth mentioning. He sure is talented, but this fight is going to make or brake him. He is the outsider in this fight no doubt.
Ward hasn't lost in 10yrs ... Kessler last lost was 2 yrs ago ... Ward isn't used to losing and its only a matter of time before we find out if Kessler is accustomed to it. The jury is out on Ward, but at the same time ... there are many questions revolving around Kessler --
Exactly, you just made my point. The sky is the limit for him. He has every tool to become a great fighter. Im saying, we will see if it comes to pass. I believe he has the physical tools, mental makeup, and advantage of fighting in his backyard which will make this fight very close. In my mind, Kessler is just about as unproven as Ward. Besides Calzaghe, who has he fought?
Erhmm... I would believe there are bigger questions as to wether Ward can make it at top level in the pro game. But that's just me I'm silly like that. Mind you if Ward wins then more power to him. But as it stands right now Kessler is the betting favorite and rightly so.
Most of all Olympic champions who've made the transition to the pro's have won a world title and this is Ward's first title shot ... I would assume that he gets the world title on the first try and he makes it look easy ... which would open the door to more criticism towards Ward ...
Kessler has fought Siaca, Lucas, Beyer, Mundine, Andrade to name a few. And these were at the time way better than the Miranda Ward fought. He fought Siaca for the vacant WBA belt and he took the WBC belt of Beyer. He fought Calzaghe to unify the belts. Now I recognize Wards talent, but to even consider the possibility that his resume is even remotely comparable to Kesslers is ridiculous.
So you're saying that Ward will win over Kessler because he was Olumpic Champion? Wow Kessler shouldn't have gone pro at the age of 19. He should have tried to win the olympics. Now he has no chance at all :-(
He has a couple of decent names on his resume. I recognize Kesslers ability, trust me, he's a good fighter, I just believe that Ward has the style to trouble him. I still say this will be a close fight.
Ok that's decent enough. I think that Ward might give him trouble, but I'm just not sure whether he is ready for the step up in competition. Kessler is a leap in competition for him indeed.
If you don't know the difference between fighting an absolute top match between two that were head and shoulders above the rest, and fighting lesser fighters - I can not help you. Why are you counting in his amatuer days? Amateur and pro are two so very different things. What questions? Questions you need because you are thick?
It seems logic has completely abandoned this website. I would completely accept if a person said I just think that Ward will pull this one of and admitted it to be a hunch a feeling and he just thought Ward could handle the step up in competition that Kessler so clearly is. Heck I think that Ward has a decent shot, but all logic dictates that Kessler wins this one if you look at what he has accomplished and compare it to what Ward has accomplished. :nut
