Ward will be fighting a seasoned pro in Kessler who is an technical boxer with an excellent defence and good power. I do not see Ward KOing Kessler but it is possible that Ward could get KOed on accumulation if he can't get into the fight. I see it going the distance with Kessler getting the nod by a good margin.
This will be one of the best fights in super six should get messy :deal but i still wanna see froch v kessler:thumbsup
You're using a logic which can prove that anyone, even if in the top ten of all times, is overrated. Well, you're wrong. You may be too young or too ignorant to know who Kessler fought and what they were at the time he fought them. Too bad for you. Kessler has 10 better opponents on his resume than the Ward's best opponent. That doesn't mean you cannot think Ward can win. Just don't say both are unproven, that makes you look silly.
Kessler will win a UD and look good going down the stretch. Ward may even get stopped late if he can't take Kessler's punches too well. If Shelby Pudwill can land one good combo on Ward, Kessler will be doing that every round. And how well Ward can take it will depend on how well he does in the fight. I see Ward's workrate going down as the fight goes on due to Kessler's pressure and Kessler getting a late TKO or UD win against Ward. Ward reminds me a little bit of Floyd Mayweather, but not as defensively sound.
Ward dominates him. Kessler is finally exposed for what he is. Another average European that ducked behind crap competition.
I'd take Miranda over every journeymen and average fighter like Andrade and Mundine on Kesslers resume.
Ward impressed me. Pudwill and all. Ward impressed me with his skills, regardless of the opponent. And against Miranda we saw he can carry much of that to a certain level. Of course Kessler is yet another level up, but I don't think people should be sleeping on Ward.
Ward is going to have Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome after this fight. Kessler's gonna wreck his ****.
Hey ... Ward is an olympic gold medalist ... he won the light heavyweight amateur championship in the olympics @ 178 and didn't weigh no more than 165 lbs ... Kessler is going to be the sacraficial lamb for Ward who hasn't lost in like 10yrs ... he's going to pull out the victory ... I have no doubt in my mind. People are giving Kessler too much credit when he has never faced a good boxer outside of Calzaghe. I really want to put it as a blk boxer with slick ability. Ward will have many advantages and the fact that he's has so much hype surrounded him ... he's truly expect to win ... if not he wouldn't have entered the tournament. Ward UD or late rounds stoppage !!
Kessler by knockout. However, Ward is counting on cheating, his venue, his judges, referee, commentators to tell everyone who is winning, etc., Kessler has balls the size of churchbells to fight in Ward's hometown.
Oh silly me, you're right. I forgot Ward was counting on those things and not his tremendous speed, footwork, head movement, defense, accuracy, boxing IQ and ring generalship. Thanks for the reminder (for the FOURTH time). Feel free to change your take sometime.
