Ward vs. Kessler

    It seems this fight has gone under the radar with Pac/Mayweather mania getting started. However, I'm pretty excited about Ward vs. Kessler. I've gone back and forth for sometime on this fight, but I'm going to settle on Ward. Ward has the skillset to give Kessler some of the same problems Calzaghe. Keep in mind, IAM NOT SAYING WARD IS AS GOOD AS CALZAGHE. However, he can fight lefty, he's fast, and he's very intelligent. I believe he can neutralize Kessler's jab, force Kessler to come at him, throw him off his game. I will be a good fight. I got Ward by decision.

    Yeah...what Jepster said. This fight has been HOTLY debated here on ESB over many, many different threads, for a few months now. The debate has certainly not cooled down after yesterday's debacle. But...since you have another poll, I'll go ahead and vote Ward.

    Haven't you changed your mind or am I confusing you with someone else?

    Read your analysis on the other thread. Good analysis. I don't agree with it, but I can see where you're coming from.

    Ok.

    I personally don't see the difference in hand and footspeed between Kessler and Ward and at the same time I see Kessler as the better tactician of the two.

    I might be proven wrong come saturday. I'm not really that confident in my pick for this fight. My confidence in my pick seem to crumble the closer to fight night we get.

    The Miranda fight, Shelby Pudwill (not much to gain from watching that fight though :lol:), Rubin Williams. Other than that I have only seen dispersed rounds from various fights on youtube. All I have seen of Ward has been on youtube or the like. I live in Denmark and as much as I would like to see more of him. It just isn't possible. Boxing is not that mainstream over here.

    Have seen most of Kesslers fights.
