SOB refused to allow neutral judges and referee for this fight. He appears to have put out propaganda trying to cause problems with Kovalev's trainer Jackson..................SOB appears to have claimed that Kovalev hates Americans, but only wants to be around Russians.................Kovalev is not Donald Trump..................he likes America...............SOB is counting on his personal judges and referee to help him out in the rematch like they did in the first fight. Harold Lederman scored the fight 116 -111 Kovalev, 82% had Kovalev winning the fight, SOB's fans even booed the decision. All SOB has to do is run, bite, kick, throw low blows to the testicles and legs, SOB does not have to even bother to fight, just survive 12 rounds then his personal judges will give him the fight, the cards are already filled out. SOB is counting on prejudice against Russians............I have nothing against the Russian people, just do not like Trump's hero Putin..................Kovalev said, after the fight, that he is a boxer, not a politician.....................

 

your mad mate, the hbo commentary are so biased and they will persuade their viewers that what they were saying is right, paulie malignangi had ward winning close as did a lot of people, kovalev barely did anything after the knockdown

 

It was a ridiculously close fight i had Kovalev winning purley due to the KD. One if thise fights where you couldnt really say 1 was better than the other imo.
Rematch will be just as tight

 

That's pretty much how I scored it. I had Ward by 1. kovalev could of easily won that fight as well, but he took his foot off the gas and let the fight get away from him.

 

Yeah, I see the rematch being tight. Hope I'm wrong but I think it will be pretty boring. Can't see Ward taking any chances at all and seeing the fight out to another decision win.

 

Yeah i can see that happening too unfortunatley. Ward will just get inside, grab and hit the body.

 

Kov will have to throw caution to the wind at some point and if he was over trained (apparently running 14 miles per day?) Then we might see a more energetic kov. He was very flat

Going a bit off topic here but is there anyway people in living in Britain can watch PBC shows? Think BT Sports used to show them but don't anymore

No one was robbed . Few rounds in it. Started as a kov fan but you can deny wards skill and fortitude . Had ward one rd up.

 

I absolutely loved the first fight. Thought it was brilliant from a technical standpoint, Ward made so many awesome adjustments so quickly - just like Spence did at the weekend: making these small adjustments quickly is what separates the elite from mere world level.

Anyway I scored it for Ward by about two rounds IIRC. Can't believe the return fight is so near now, just three weeks.
