    Interesting article posted today. Apparently both Roc Nation and Main Events have had preliminary discussions about a match up between the two by the end of next year. It would be a great fight for both guys. Kovalev doesn't seem too many interesting opponents at 175. There are some solid matchups for Ward at 168 and then there's also Golovkin. However, apparently Ward isn't a big enough name for Golovkin unless he's willing to drain himself. So it looks like Kovalev is his best chance at a big fight. Anyway, here's the article;

I dunno, the article indicates Duva is more interested in the fight than Roc Nation at this point. And she has every incentive to make it sound possible since Kovalev's current fight is selling poorly, his HBO opponents look uninspiring, and she just torpedoed a fight against the best opponent in the division she talked tough about wanting for the past year.

Hope so. I want to see Ward brutally KO'd.

Andre 'A-side-superstar' Ward's demands are as follows:

    1. 168.1 lbs
    2. Rehydration clause of 174lbs
    3. Kovalev's light heavyweight titles on the line but not Ward's super middleweight because he's over the limit by 0.1lb
    4. 85/15 split in Ward's favor.
    5. Earl Hebner as ref
    6. Fight takes place in the Jokeland arena
    7. Pillow gloves
    8. Giant ring
    9. Ward is the last to enter the ring, and the first name on the posters
    10. Ward doesn't need to take the test but Kovalev does

"We're interested in that fight at some point. It's only a matter when." That's what Roc Nation had to say about it. So it looks like there is interest from both sides. Hopefully it happens. Time will tell.

That's reasonable, criticize Ward for an imaginary list of demands.

Ward thought he should've been A-side against The King Of England when Froch can sell out 80,000 and Ward can't sell out his living room.

There's interest but it's certainly more intense from the Main Events side for good reason IMO.

No he didn't, he even said he would go to England. But why would he relent to all of Froch's demands when he already beat Froch? Froch didn't want to fight that rematch anyway.

Kovalev certainly has less options, and they would fight at his weight class. So I could definitely see his side having more interest. All that matters though is that both parties are interested.

He said he would go to England- but only to Wembley which holds 80,000. Ward knows he wouldn't be able to fill even half that and the overheads and his asking price made it impossible. He asked for 50m UK pounds at one stage. 83million US dollars. Pricing himself out = ducking.

Why Ward fans not see through this is beyond me.

Why should Froch bend over backwards for all Ward's demands when he is the person fans are paying to see- not Ward.

Do you think Austin Trout would demand to be A-side v Cotto in a rematch because he beat him? :think

Ward is not desperate for cash and that fight wasn't that lucrative.
