a mismatch in favor of Ward. Ward can beat any style and is so much better fundamentally than Martinez. Martinez should try to call out anyone but S.O.G.

I will agree, Ward taps that ass at 168. SOG should tap Bute as well with his fundamentals.

I'd favor Ward, but it would be interesting to see Ward face someone about as quick as him who could effectively move and counter.

That's why I'd love to see Ward v Andre Dirrell - his speed, athleticism and movement (at Dirrell's size as well - no size issues there) makes it a potentially winnable encounter for Andre (although I'd still favor Ward)

Those three sets of fights would be super interesting.

Martinez - Ward (I'd say 35-65) Ward is more well-rounded in other aspects of his game, but Sergio's a tactical fighter. I'd take Ward by UD, 8-4 or 7-5, close but clear.

Martinez - Dirrell (45 - 55) Dirrell gets the nod because he has size + power advantages. The speed would make it very interesting, and Dirrell couldn't run away if Sergio tagged him, Serg may not be as strong as Froch, but he's more technically sound and he's way faster. SD either way but it'd be great to see.

Ward - Dirrell (55 - 45) Ward's all-around game and his better defense would give him the nod for me, but Dirrell might catch him if he stays active enough on the outside, being the longer guy. Who's slicker and blacker?

Ward is the best well rounded fighter of the bunch. Neutralizes Sergios offense, but noticed Sergios low guard unorthodox style and right hook in particular aside from Sergios own ability to win a fight willpush Ward to his limit. Sergios power and timing should never be underestimated even by any 168lber. Ward by SD 12.

I think Dirrell is the fastest and most physically gifted of the 3, he might be able to win a clearer decision over Sergios than Ward, but only if he keeps it at a distance. Sergio has perfect timing Dirrell could be winning every round, but if in the 10-11th he gets overconfident Sergio can turn the tables and rally and rally hard he will. Sergio has the power of an AA, but faster and more mobile plus a southpaw. Dirrell might win on a UD, but I wouldn't be surprised if Sergio did a surprise comeback from behind type victory.

I think Ward-Dirrell would be alot closer than people think. Dirrell in his prime just such a difficult fighter to look good against Ward more methodical, but I think he'll struggle alot with Dirrell. Win a close unpopular decision.
