David Haye gave away a 32 pound weight advantage to fight Wlad, but Floyd won't even consider moving up 6 pounds to face a drained Andre Ward? :-(
That's an awesome sparring story. Kinda reminds me of when Omar Henry sparred Floyd, was really putting it on him, after a round or two Henry began to gas and Floyd started walking him down while talking ****, then they stopped it for Henrys sake lol. After that, Mayweather went and hit the heavy bag non stop lol...
Bernard came a whole 2 pounds down from 160 to 158 to fight Oscar... not nearly the same as Ward coming down 8 pounds. Doable? Yes. Realistic? NOOOOOO The first problem your "reality" has is that Floyd will do everything in his power to avoid avoid avoid this fight. The second problem is Ward and the weight.
Why the hell would Floyd fight Ward when he can fight guys his own size for big money? If Ward was a Hoya type draw then this fight could be a possibility.
LOL. So height means something? Didn't Mike Tyson beat people 7 inches taller than he was? Dumbest thing I ever heard.
Ward fought 160 during the olympics. I can totally see him make weight for this. And Ward will win this one.
atsch AT was a pro and probably knows more about Floyd than we do. He certainly knows more about boxing.
I don't know who you are, BillyCrystal, but if this is any indication, we're going to get along very well.
No he didn't, he fought in the light heavyweight 81kg (178 ) class at the olympics. He apparently only weighed around 77-78kg for most of his fights though.
well, DLH been with Sturm and Hopkins who himself campaigned at LHW. I know this is different kind of balls though, just saying :conf
