i like ward,i met him at his old gym in oakland a few years back before the olympics and i like that he's finally stepping up his competition but i think miranda will be too strong for him and will stop ward.thoughts?
I watched Miranda's last fight and he was awful. I think he has about a 5% chance of winning. He would have to be lucky and Ward would have to make a big mistake for Miranda to find that lucky punch, I think. At this point I think most C level fighters would have a good chance of beating Miranda.
I was a bit of a dick before about Miranda's chances. The guy has insane natural power, and always has a puncher's chance. But Ward is far more skilled in my opinion and should box his way to a decision or possibly a late TKO, however he has to watch out for the big punches.
this is a huge mismatch imo. ward is going to brutally outclass miranda. ward by either wide UD or T/KO.
I'm hoping Ward impresses as I'm liking the look at whats developing around 168. It'll be good to see a young unbeaten American getting in the mix. That said, I haven't seen much of him so can't really comment on the outcome.
Miranda is not improving, he's worst than 2 years ago. He now has problems to make 168, even if he just changed of weight category. He only has a brutal form of power but it won't be enough. Ward is a talented boxer, he should be able to win easily.
