The questionmarks if Ward could still make 168 have become bigger with his returnfight being at 172.
That raises a couple of other questions; Is this fight still for the WBA Super Middleweight strap? Can't imagine that. And if he finally moves up to 175 like he said he would sometime and heading to a mega fight with king Kovalev?

172??? Why the f... did he not fight Kovalev then?? He said he would beat the Klitschkos, he's unbeatable and other stuff .. why does he fight a Abraham leftover instead of KRUSHER????

Ridiculous .. Ward and Floyd are the only two US boxers left, who somehow represent the US .. and what they did is just embarassing. No wonder peopel in the US think Baseball is more intresting.

Oh get f*cked, he's supposed to take on the LHW #1 in his first fight back in like two years? Get f*cked with your logic.

Your last statement is arguably the dumbest thing I have ever read in my life, either online or in real life. Sort yourself out

I'm sure I recall Smith attributing his past loses to Groves and Degale being down to him not being a natural super-middleweight.

Probably. But Boxrec still has it listed as being for the WBA SMW strap.

Liverpool super-middleweight Paul Smith will fight WBA world champion Andre Ward in Oakland, California on June 20.

Smith will not fight the American for his world title but the bout still represents a massive opportunity for the 32-year-old.

'Smigga', who failed to in back-to-back challenges for Arthur Abraham WBO world title, faces a former Olympic champion who has not fought in 18 months.

"I cannot wait to get back in the ring and test myself against a class act like Andre Ward," said Smith

"I proved that I belong at the top level with my performances against Arthur Abraham and this is a challenge that I am relishing.

"Andre is a top pound-for-pound fighter and someone I respect a lot, but he has only boxed once in almost three years and I will give it everything I have got.

"I am fresh and confident going into this fight. It's a massive opportunity for me and one that I took with both hands when it was offered. I have spent a lot of time boxing in the United States and I look forward to returning for this fight."

Ward said it was a non-title fight too.

I've read reports it was a title shot too though. lol

Virgin Hunter said it wasn't one as well though.

The fight with Smith will be a non-title fight, according to Hunter.

"Smith is who we want and I'm told it's a done deal. But it won't be for Andre's belt even though it will be over the twelve round championship distance," Hunter told the paper. :good

Not a big Ward fan, and Im nuetral on GGGunbeatable, but yeah, pretty ret@rded to suggest Ward would even consider that fight without at least a few tests at the weight, and something, anything whatsoever to suggest Sergey might be a flash in the pan, and someone Ward could potentially beat.:rofl:rofl:rofl

Yeah, stupid post by GGG UB:thumbsup
