I was under the impression that Ward's team handed K2 a contract after Gennady already had a deal in place with another fighter.

This fight should've happened years ago. I think most people who are critical of Gennady just want to see him in against elite competition, and there's not really anyone at 160 or 168 that could've offered him that except for Andre Ward.

Ward sent his "Offer" after 3G had signed to face Lemmy already. Not to dissimilar from GBP's "offer" to 3G after he signed to face brook. Seriously...WTF is with these antics? Is it all for show and hoping their stupid fans will buy it? So far it seems to have worked.

 

Past non-productive offers are irrelevent.
All we need to know is that todate, eight years after gaining the titles, Golovkin has fought nobody. No A-level, no elites, no competitive matches. N.O.B.O.D.Y.

Andre Ward has moved upwards to higher heights and greater challenge to meet the best EE boxer in the USA, Sergy Kovalev.
Ward beat Kovalev in a tight fight and it requires no crystal ball to see that both he and Kovalev are levels above Golovkin, who has fought a long list of nobodies.

Ward > Kovalev > Golovkin !!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's all you need to know.

 

But didnt mentally disabled sanchez brag about his fighter beating up kovalev in sparring and dropping heavies??? Surely he wasnt lying to hype up his fighter, he wouldnt do that! The clips are on youtube for anyone to see.

My point is if abel lies on a regular basis we should take his statements about trying to make the ward fight with a grain of salt.

Its not like ward is some big, monstrous power puncher who clubs people to death. What difference would 4 lbs really make?

No one really tried to make a fight between 3G and ward. I've said for a long time now, it was posturing from both sides using the other guys name to hype their own, when a fight wasn't exactly feasible to make for a majority of the time.

 

Oh well then i agree neither party was hell bent on making the fight. Lots of alpha male peacock displaying and light trash talk.

I still think able needs to stfu, he has his foot in his mouth making bold statements and then retracting them when hes called out.
