That is not a contradiction. I have a problem with 183 pound men calling out 174 pound men yes. However, I still think the 174 pound man is going to kick ass. Really, it ain't a contradiction kid. :good
Dawson has all the tools to be great. In fact, in terms of athletic ability and sheer punching power, I give him the nod over Ward. At 168, I favor Andre. At 175lbs, I favor Chad.
I believe Dawson has a 76 '' reach versus Ward's 71'' reach. Dawson's jab would be the key. On top of that, Ward will have to deal with Dawson being an athletic southpaw. If Dawson was psychologically better, he'd easily beat Ward in the range of 8 or 9 rounds to 4 or 3. BUT.... Like always, which Dawson will show up ? A focused and intense version or his often seemingly aloof one ? Ward can very well beat Dawson on simply being the much smarter and wiser fighter in the ring. That may be Dawson's downfall against Ward, where Chad is stuck fighting into Andre's game plan. If Chad manages to stay focused and keep most of the fight on the outside, he will make Ward look quite beatable and looking for answers... I think Ward may look to bully and disrupt Chad all night on the inside, a little like he did with Green, even if Dawson is the bigger man.
Nah. It ain't the reach that is the key factor. It's that Crap Dawson sucks. He just lost to a guy that fights like an amateur in Pascal. Pascal lost to a 47 year old fighter man. Lazy Dawson is not a P4P fighter like the Ring says he is. Dawson ****ing sucks. It's a joke fight if it comes to fruition. Most boxers haing around from super-middle to crusier-weight would beat the **** out of Lazy Dawson. Dawson isn't the **** you hype this guy on.
I could see Dawson outworking Ward at times .When he puts his punches together its a thing of beauty ..This is what makes this match up so dangerous for Ward ..
Man, Dawson is really desperate for the big fights, very afraid of falling into obscurity, but he is dangerouslly stacking the odds against him. 168 is very low for Dawson, he is a natural cruiser, looks quite thin, slim at 175 already, it`s just wrong it will hurt his performance. Dawson is known for rehydrating 15 lbs or more between the weight in and fight time. Anyway, two tremendous talents going at it, I`m already salivating at the matchup.
Andre Ward will not be able to outbox Chad on the outside, and people are going to be surprised Ward wont be able to muscle him around. Chad Dawson is a deceptively strong fighter. In terms of strength Glen Johnson has physical grown man strength on lock and he couldn't have his way with Dawson (except late rounds 1st fight). Dawson wins this UD. I continually say Dawson is a potential nightmare h2h for anyone under heavyweight.
