Ward will fight in his hometown AGAIN!?

Where was it meant to happen?
Much as hardcore fans like both guys,they'd struggle to fill a phonebox in Vegas,so this makes sense to me.

 

:huh kessler quit did he? i don't seem to remember it like that. because that's not what happened. what actually happened was they had to stop the fight on cuts from all the head butts that ward smashed into his face. and every time ward did some cheating ( which was most of the time) the ref warned ****ing kessler. you couldn't make that **** up. only in america, hay.

 

seriously. where were they gonna have it, hartford? that's a joke. I went to dawson vs johnson 2 in the heart of hartford and the turnout was absolutely abysmal.

Can’t blame him .. I mean if it helps out his city is one thing but eventually he needs to travel ..I mean what’s wrong with Vegas ? NY ? Fought in AC ..Nothing wrong with trying to put your city on the map but eventually he will have to leave the comforts of home .

 

why would he go to Vegas when more people will show up in Cali?

 

Agreed ,he could go to Staples ..But I only mentioned Vegas because sometimes big fights get booked there that's all .

 

If Dawson isn't bothered about the location of the fight then why are you butthurt? Dawson doesn't have a lot of fans anyways so it's not like they'd have to pay extra to travel etc.

It's gonna be a good fight while it lasts. Expect Ward to prevail.

Plus what Ward is doing is building a strong fanbase in his hometown... that's what all young fighters should do imo.

 

I like that Ward fights in Oakland. We need more big fights in the bay area. We like boxing too. If it leads to more big fights down the road, I'm all for it. I would like Ward to travel more though. But to his credit, he did fight Abraham in LA and Froch in AC.

ALL of his fights haven't been in Oakland.

this is the absolute truth.. well the first part is.. Ward is still on the up swing in growing a following.. this is Dawson's last shot at gaining a decent to serious following...

 

Dude.. Ward is from Northern California.. Nobody is looking for Ward past Gilroy California.. meaning.. Southern Califorina Ward is not a draw.. Fight against Abrahamn at the Home Depot center in LA looked spotty nobody but some Armenian Fans came to see the fight...
