I really want Taylor to retire. He looked simply hideous against Abraham, and I have gone over that in great detail on other threads. However, if JT is going to continue, I will take great pleasure in watching Jermain make Ward pay for his bull**** tactics. JT will probably lose badly, but he will teach that disgrace to the sport what head butts, low blows, and elbows feel like when you're on the receiving end.

Why should JT, who was in great shape against AA, lose badly? Ward is good, but he's "taylor-maid" ;-)

I favor Ward because of how Taylor looked in the beginning of the AA fight but give him much respect for getting ko'd 2 fights in a row and still wanting to fight on. Taylor just keeps rowing along...

I agree.............a prolonged beating is even worse for JT, but the Ward haters just want Ward to lose, and don't care about JT's health

I think Taylor beats Ward by KO, Jermaine has the hand speed to ctach Ward coming in and the power to knock him out. Just because he has been KO'd by some big hitters recently doesn't change the fact that he is a world class boxer.
If the fight goes to points I am also taking Taylor as I think he is the more skilled of the two and will land the bigger punches.

i don't think anyone on this board will be able to confuse the jt of today w/ the one that beat hopkins. having said that, he will do better than kessler. taylor can fight on the inside and knows how to fight out of a clinch. kessler looked absolutely helpless trying to do either. also, ward is going to catch a hard, nasty elbow when he tries to dive in head first. jermain knows very well how to "not play well with others"

as boo says, if their is a way to **** up a fight, jermain will find it. combine that with the fact that he's gone downhill a lot means he probably loses. but he will do much better than kessler.

After that second lost, it's gonna be difficult to lure in another boxer (Green, Bute) to replace Taylor with no point and no chance to advance to the semifinals...Taylor might have to fight the third bout against Kessler...

They dont really care if Taylor fights on, if you notcie all the people picking and or that wants Taylor to win are European fans. The reason is they know that if Taylor cant get Ward he will walk though the rest of the super-six. Not knowing that Dirrell is actaully the ONE fighter in the super-six that has what it takes to beat Ward. They would love nothing more then to see Taylor beat Ward then Lose to Kessler, and then have AA beat dirrell then have Dirrell beat ward, they want to see the European fighters all three in the final four to ensure that a European fighter wins the whole thing. that is the part that is sad.

After Wards beats Taylor they will then jump all over the stuff that many of us Americans have been saying about him since before the super-six even started and that is Taylor is shot. But that would only last until he fights Kessler then Taylor will be great again.

I give JT 3-4 TOPS of being competitive, after that it'll be a one sided pot shot display in favor of Ward. I think JT's corner will throw in the towel around the 9th or 10th.
