Yup yup and I don't know why you would bring up that Froch is much bigger than Ward either, but you did and he's not.
I don't think Froch will be that big a problem for Ward hence the OP in this thread. Froch does not have the inside game to cause Ward that much trouble and Ward is so much quicker than AA that Froch will not be able to keep Ward at bay IMO. So for my money I believe that AA is the one with best chances of upsetting Ward. I hope for neutral ground for this fight.
Both Germany or Oakland are HORRIBLE venues a doubleheader with the Froch-Johnson fight in london would be ideal
He doesnt need an inside game. He just needs an outside game, which Froch has and has the advantages over Ward in this department.
I hope AA does not upset Ward, I want a Ward/Froch final as I think this would make the Super 6 a great sucsess.
In what way apart from a small reach disparity? Ward's jab is just as good, and his footwork is better and faster than Froch's at this range too. Froch might throw better combinations from the outside but I think he will be pressured from the outside and grinded down eventually. He DOES need an inside game; Ward unlike AA has head movement and a good step in, he will close the distance and unless he can create some space he's going to get mauled
Disagree about Froch's jab and that is what our whole opinion on the outcome is and should be based around.
Froch has a good one and uses it fairly well, and he did a great job of throwing it on the backfoot and occasionally to AA's body. He also shows some versatility with it, flicking, throwing stiff ones, feinting. I just think Ward's is a little better; he counters with it, he throws it upstairs and downstairs, uses it to set up a step in or pressure his way inside, and it's a touch faster. We'll see though....
LOL that first pic was a shot starting from behind Kessler, of course he will appear bigger. I bet u searched hard for that one lol i honestly think that Froch is at least 6'2 or 3. Taylor is listed at 6 ft1 from most sources and Froch looked clearly taller in the ring.
ASbraham does have that puncher's chance, but he couldn't land it against Froch so I doubt he'll be able to do it to a fighter as technically sound as Ward. Speed has nothing to do with it. Abraham was able to catch Dirrell, who we know is faster than Froch. But he wasn't able to touch Froch, who presented a good technical plan. Ward is undoubtedly better than Froch at this, the only question is whether Ward can hit hard enough to keep Abraham covered up. That may have been the key to Froch's success.
