ward wont change his style, because he boring style brings wins, therefore he wont get fans. same for floyd, in my oppinion most of floyd fans are blacks who just like him beause he got 0 wins and his lifestyle is more entertaining than his actual fighting. how can you be a fan of someone who does only single punches, even so his footwork and reflexes are great, but again, entertaining and being in great fights is not floyds business. for him holding back and doing enough to win and than be a loud mout his more his style
It's not 'clinching', it's called inside fighting. And Ward is a god damn master at it. I would call it 'clinching' except he uses his footwork and lands combinations at that distance. Most fighters have no ****ing clue how to handle it either , i love it.
So running through the super middle division and KO'ing the ****ing man at light heavy constitutes 'protecting your record'? Get the **** outta here you hating piece of ****.
It's not Ward's fault he's on another level than his opponents. He was well on his way to a UD victory over Kessler before the stoppage. Ward's only REAL problem is that he lacks one punch knockout power.
Real talk. Wards the best boxer over seen since roy jones jnr He would hold his own in any era Would school haggler, hearns Leonard and Duran
who is hating. This weekend we have examples of a fighter who fights everyone. Froch in the last 4 years has been incredible with the guys he has fought. Wins some and you lose some, and in the end he will be remembered well. Michael Nunn was one of the most skilled guys around in 1988. In my mind almost unbeatable. Ok in 2013, who is being inducted into the Hall of Fame this year? It is Arturo Gatti. No one would think about inducting Michael Nunn. Gatti came to fight and fought everyone, yet p4p Nunn would win easily. People appreciate fighters who make no excuses. ThisFloyd and Ward thinking " I am undefeated" thing and protecting a record will not be respected much, as the Hall of Fame and people who vote for the fighters show.
Yeah I know. Easy to say. And Mattysse would knock out Aaron Pryor and Alexis Arguello in 2 rounds on the same night in Nov. of 1982.
LMAO and then these "fans" wonder why these fighters don't give a **** what they think and how they feel. He needs to do something drastic about his personality to make up for his un pleasing style to the casuals or else he'll have ll the accolades in the world, but wont make the money he SHOULD.
He's like bhop but with more natural talent. He won't go more than 30 seconds without grabbing and holding. Some times you will catch a glimpse of what he COULD be if he had the courage to fight hard (stunning froch with a big left hook, ripping dawson up with inside uppercuts off the ropes) but for the most part, double jab get inside grab, repeat x1000
