Ward would be a fool to ever fight in the UK after that despicable stoppage!

After seeing that, I now understand why so many fans think Froch would have a chance against Ward if they had a rematch in the UK.

Thats exactly why they say its not fair, ward should fight froch in england. They want to see if they ref can win it for him because thats the only way froch would beat ward, and froch is in my top 5 favorite fighters right now. Styles make fights.

Well, I think The Cobra owes Groves a rematch, first and foremost.

But if he beat Groves legitimately in a rematch and was in a strong position to challenge Ward again, no way in hell I'd fight Froch on his soil after that.

Not only was the stoppage horrible, but the official cards were equally bad.

Ward would be fine fighting over here just as long as the ref isn't a Brit

As soon as I saw Howard foster was the ref I said to my brother this ref is **** and stops fights to early

Was the fix in I think it might of been

On the other hand fighters have the exact same thing if they fight in the US. The amount of bull they pull on the scorecards.
    So it's a mute point.

If anything, the judges were overly generous to Froch when they fought in AC.

After tonight, Robney, can't you picture Froch, after getting outclassed for 7 rounds, buzzing Ward with one good shot only to have the ref jump in and wave it off - no count, no knockdown, nothing?

And there is not a single instance of Ward ever being the beneficiary of shady scoring. If anything, quite the contrary, Froch was given extremely generous scoring when he was thoroughly outclassed by Ward.

After the decision against Dirrell and now this and people called Ward scared, he'd be stupid to fight here

im a brit and I agree with the original poster, ward could outclass froch for 10 rounds and the slightest revival from froch could see an idiot like howard foster step in and stop it! Im a huge Froch fan but Ward is too classy for him

The UK has become a horrible place to fight a house fighter. The Burns fight was unforgiveable. Too bad, they have some of the greatest atmosphere of anywhere.

    You may have a point.
Groves was beating Froch clearer than Ward
Groves was hurting Froch more than Ward
    Groves looked better than Ward
Groves was winning more rounds than Ward up to that point.

At the end of round 5 of Ward/Froch, when Froch hit Ward and Ward fell and held the rope would have been a good time right on the bell. lol.

I think the bad thing was that Froch/Ward was a close fight, but Froch/Groves, Groves looked in control throughout and looked very unfortunate

No I can't imagine that, but I guess you know what I mean.
The Americans use that as an excuse not to fight overseas, so they can always have the home advantage and never have to be in a position where the referee and the judges don't have their back.

The Ward vs Froch fight had some weird scoring in Froch's favor I'll give you that. But that doesn't weigh up to all the pre American scoring and worse crap (like Maravilla knocking out Cintron to get a draw) we see pulled over there on almost every card.

The Germans are bad, the Brits are bad and the Americans are just as bad.

Really it could be an indication of Hearns involvement as much as anything else.

I can just see a bewildered Ward standing there with his arms outstretched and being cuddled by Ian John Lewis, while Hearn rigorously bearhugs a battered Froch from behind and carries him around the ring
