Ward Would Fight Mayweather at 160 but Wouldn't Fight Dawson At 175

You do realize that it was Chad, not Ward, who wanted to fight at 168. And regardless, Ward clips him at 175. It would not have really mattered what weight they fought at to be honest.

 

I been sayin it all ALONG, Ward's hype has gone through the roof in 1 year, and all he did was beat TWO GUYS: one a legit win making him the man at the weight, two a guy who got drained to ****

Marquez in his 5th division fought the best p4p, who did Mayweather fight there? Dont tell me DLH and Cotto were p4p elite at the time Mayweather fought them?

You've actually made my point. At 154 lbs, Mayweather is good enough to compete, but not against the alltime greats there. Fighters like Norris, Leonard, Hearns, those types would beat Mayweather pretty convincingly at 154 lbs.

The same goes for Marquez, I dont think he competes with the alltime great welters, he's just to small.

Mayweather has a lankier body though, and those types are better suited to pack on extra weight and not be hampered.

Mayweathers body fit and trim at 154 lbs looks more natural than Marquez' body at 147 lbs. As I told you earlier, though Marquez started at as a featherweight, his body at that time was fully capable of making 122 lbs.
Marquez was not a big featherweight.
I dont belileve when mayweather was at 130 lbs that he had any thoughts of making 126 lbs, he allready looked skinny enough at 130 lbs.

Mayweather was a bigger juniorlightweight than Marquez was a featherweight, which is why earlier I said that I believed that they were seperated by a division and a half if not two weight classes.

Again my point on this matter is that skill is not what seperates Mayweather from Marquez, its weight divsions.

If Mayweather ever has the balls to fight a real elite 154 lbs or 160 lbs fighter, you get back to me.
So far we're still waiting for him to fight an elite 147 pounder. He has'nt even given the fans that!

Dawson wanted a challenge and would have preffered Ward go up to 175 lbs or even a catchweight, Ward said no, so Dawson took the challenge anyways and attempted the drop down.
It did'nt work out for him.

Neither of us truly know if Dawson draining to make the weight was a big factor. Only one way to find out and that to have Ward go up and fight Dawson at 175 lbs. So far Ward has'nt given any indication he wants that.
He'll fight Hopkins at 175 lbs but not Dawson. Those are just the facts.

 

I think this is being taken to serious...doubt Ward would ever do this but was taking a jab at Floyd.
