There ain't a HW on the planet that ain't 'almost got done' early doors in their career, with exception to a handful of elite fighters, that's the whole buzz of the HW division. Always saw Wardley as a dark horse of the HW's and posted to that effect several years ago. Just seems to have that natural fighters instinct: you hit me, I'll hit ya back harder! Wardley by KO 2nd half of the fight. Reckon Wardley has gotten to Clarke last few days.
This And why does all boxing have to be World level to be enjoyable Minus the misfits crap, I've seen brilliant fights on small halls numerous times
I'm messing about to be honest. They clearly aren't wank relative to lower level professional boxing but anything above that, they are wank. I may be judging them harshly but in the context of high profile heavyweights in the world of boxing, both are plodders. I don't rate either and really not interested in either of their careers as they won't go very far.
Frazier does 'hold on' to his amateur career a little too much, for a fighter well into a pro career. I do feel the occasion is hitting him, whether in a good or bad way, is to be seen. He looked good on the scales, which could even it up a bit. However, Fabio is just soaking in every level he's moved up, living the dream. Looking forward to this one, and the undercard.
I've also put my money on Clarke as he has fought arguably at a much higher level wsb etc. Where wardley has looked like he could have been stopped a few times when his power bails him out. Eventually like all punchers he's gonna come up against someone who can negate or take his power and then he will get chinned. Come on big fraze.
That's a good point, has Clarke ever really looked in trouble from a puncher? Has he ever really faced one?
