Absolutely, I think Huni lacked power and experience and that was the deciding factor, but I absolutely like his style, while Dubois has exceptional power and good skills, Wardley has problems with defense and I think Dubois will take advantage of that.
DuBois is slightly overated off the Joshua fight. The power is real alright, but it is not like he is some master boxer that outclassed Joshua. He caught Joshua with something big and then from that point on he was basically concussed. Honestly, think it would have been better for Joshua and his legacy if they just waved it off - that way we would see it a little more along the lines of Lewis`s losses. DuBois got outjabbed by Joyce. He gets hit. Put that together with his lack of intangibles and I could see him folding if Wardley can stand up to his power.
Dubois’ got too much pedigree for Wardley, combined with the reality that he’s a total court jester who doesn’t care about being about being a total court jester. Dubois will slay Wardley under 6, in the court of the King.
If Dubois wins, I think Usyk's retirement will be accelerated. He'll have a belt again, and no one will be clamouring for Usyk-Dubois 3.
Might be fight of the year. I used to think Dubois would just murder Wardley with the jab alone, but now I think it can go either way. Wardley's intangibles match up very well with Dubois'. I could see Dubois beating the **** out of Wardley early, but then Wardley lands a fast counter out of nowhere that completely turns the fight around and once he jumps on Dubois, Dubois will fold. Wardley is not as well schooled, but he's faster, more fluid and way tougher mentally. That being said, Wardley will take a ton of damage early, win or lose. Dubois will start fast and his power jab is gonna bust Wardley up immediately. That nose is gonna be a mess. 50/50 for me. Dubois breaks Wardley down from the start or Wardley lands a counter and turns the fight around. Ends in a stoppage every time.
Interesting fight (even if Dubois doesn't deserve this chance), I say Wardley by stoppage in the last rounds, when Dubois has a clear advantage on the judges' scorecards.
I'm going with Wardley. Undefeated fighter who is fighting a guy that's been in a few wars. Those wars take their toll.
first press conference was today. Wardley seems confident and understands Dubois is defensively weak and lacks the heart to keep going when things arent going his way. Dubois is same ol same ol. nothing new. same yes men around him. he'll come out and do what dubois does. i dont think it'll be enough to beat wardley.
That’s a good summary. It’s an interesting match up and we won’t know how it plays out until the final bell. If I had to bet I’d go with Fabio. I can’t stand Michael Ofo but when up against Sam Jones I find myself on his side.
Difficult to call. Both guys have benefited from a lot of Queensberry officiating to get to where they are. But in terms of clean, clear cut wins, Dubois has Joshua, and Wardley has Frazer Clark While I'm bored of seeing Dubois gifted title shots, this is still a great fight for both of them to prove something
