Gonna be one helluva fight and Im pretty 50/50 but if I am forced to pick I would have to go with Dubois, I love Wardley he seems like a fantastic bloke who is very humble and likable but Dubois has a combination he has not encountered before, great boxing ability and great punching power, if he took the shots and combinations he took from Parker from Dubois he would've been out cold. Ofc we said the same thing with Parker and Huni when his fight with the former was announced so you never know. I see paths to victory for both but that piston-like jab of Dubois is monstrous and I think is key to the fight HOWEVER I also think Wardley is going to throw shots Dubois is not expecting. Super hard pick but going with Dubois by a hair. Really looking forward to this one
Dubois has power, while Wardley has a solid chin, and power of his own. This is a very interesting fight, as it is hard to pick. I'd say Dubois has an edge with his experience, but hard to pick with conviction. Great fight, thank you to the promotion.
Wardley takes him out he has more heart and a better chin. When you have two big punchers facing off against each other logically the more durable fighter should be favoured and that's Wardley.
You can't count the WBA regular title. And Dubois was gifted the vacated IBF belt from Usyk. Saying he would be a 3 time world champion and trying to claim it as legit is a bit ridiculous.
I'm still amazed that many people are picking Dubois. Sure, this is the heavyweight division, and one punch can end any fight, I accept that. But I really think this will come down to a battle of who's tougher, and when it comes to that contest, well, there's as much chance of Dubois out-toughing Wardley as there is Wilder outboxing Usyk, I'm afraid. But hey, we'll see. I find that when most boxers lose more than one or two fights, they usually tend to lose because they repeated the same mistakes that they did previously. For example, Whyte not learning how to defend an uppercut. Pillow-fisted Parker deluding himself that he's a knockout artist and trying to knock a guy out with an iron chin instead of choosing to out-box him. Dubois taking a knee and choosing the 'flight' instead of 'fight' response. I won't be surprised to see him do it again.
Nothing I've seen in Wardley has made me say, "hey this guy is the real deal". He doesn't appear to have the (prime) chin of Joyce, he also isn't as steady as Joyce with that ugly slow but effectively lead cross jab. Also, Wardley appears to be able to be easily outboxed. I'd lean Dubois by decision, possibly stoppage if he lands enough.
