    Pretty much covers it.

It was Ward that didn't want the fight and imo it was a dumb move as I think he handles Bute with ease.

Grade A post. Ward thinks Chavez is deserving but not Bute when Bute was #2 in the division

The fact that you're questioning his resume proves you're ******ed.

people are dreaming if they think bute has somehow been 'robbed of glory' by ward

you want to know why fighters like froch and kessler get respect?
because they stand up and fight the best whenever they can...instead of blaming the best for not fighting them when they never earnt it

bute got found out - deal with it
nobody will miss him or remember him

Ward toys with Bute barely breaking sweat imo but whatever way you look at it Ward said the winner of the Super 6 should fight Bute then after winning the tournament went back on it and it was a dumb move

yeah it was, but it was a move without foresight
if dawson hadn't put his hand up that fight might have happened

moot point now - froch destroyed the myth

    Yeah. Ward beats Bute easilly.

Which makes it all the more baffling why he wouldn't take the fight after the Super Six so that he could add another world class rated name to his resume and clear up any confusion over who the best in the division was himself. Instead he blew off the chance to fight Bute giving Froch the opening to increase his resume and legacy instead, giving Froch the super fight and the payday he could have had, and all the respect that came from beating the only top fighter in the division who had not been in the Super Six tournament.

And if Ward wanted a break after the Super Six then I have no problem with that, the problem I have is the way he presented the situation as if he was chomping at the bit to fight Bute when he wasn't and had in fact been dismissing Bute as not worthy of a shot, and then implying that Bute was ducking him to fight Froch instead when he had made himself unavailable.

Look at Madjer being clueless one again.

How could Ward of fought Bute when he was out injured for almost a full year after the Super6.

Ward thought he'd have another fight in the meantime, nobody expected him to sign a 2 fight deal with Froch.
Bute could of took another tune up then went after Ward , the reality was his camp knew he was a hypejob so went after Froch who they thought was there for the taking after how bad Ward made him look.

bute was never "world class rated" - he never beat anyone and was given a pass because the number of federations kept him in a 'mathematical equation' as a contender

bute never earnt it, got destroyed by froch, and now order is restored

He was a world class rated fighter because he was ranked 2nd in the division ahead of Froch. He was considered Ward's rival to the title of Super Middleweight King.

Frankly that "he hadn't earnt it" thing is a bull**** excuse. Bute was an undefeated World Champion and highly rated by the boxing community at the time - we must remember that he was favorite to beat Froch, not the other way round - and he would have been a decent name for anyone to have on their resume at the time.

Ward himself had said that Bute was the main man in the division and that the Super Six winner had to fight him to prove who was the best. Dismissing Bute by saying he had only fought B and C Level fighters and saying he hadn't earnt it was just a cheap way for Ward to justify himself going back on his word and blowing the fight off.

People can say what they want about Bute, even Ward & his ******ed fans agreed, that Bute was number #2 in SMW and was according to many experts P4P top 10-15. Froch annihilated him and made Ward look like a big coward, which he is. Even Bute said, he was willing to travelled to Oakland and fight Ward. Before and now i have no doubt in that Ward would've schooled Bute, but i guess that left hook / upper cut to the body was just to much of a risk. Ward is a great boxer, but he have no balls. Even Lucian Bute have more balls than Andre, who at the end wanted to prove people wrong by traveling to England and face Froch in his backyard.

No balls my ass......Why should Ward who had spent the last 2-3 years involved in a grueling tournament, that broke Kessler and sent him home, give Bute a shot at all the winnings when he just sat on the sidelines fighting easy opposition?...If Bute had not of signed himself out with a two fight deal with Froch there is no doubt the fight would of happened.........Instead he took a fight with No.1 champ Dawson who most at the time thought was a 50/50 fight......
