Its just came down like a stone.

His biggest win just got beat, in an "emphatic" fashion no less, by non other that Eleider Alvarez. No controversy, no low blows, no knockdowns, no rigged judges, straight up knock down.

AND this brings the Wards biggest scalp down to non other than Frockowski, slow granite chin 168lb plodder who would of got stopped by Calzaghe.

Wards stock just went massively down.
Cash me out, Bellew is off the table.

Lol @ this thread, I hate when people do this you wait for someone to get beaten for the first time then when some one else beats them you say that person was never that good.

No that's not what i am saying son.
    Kovalev was great, amazing fighter.
He was just way past his sell by point by the time Ward came out on scene, that's all.

    And this loss proves it.

And it confirms suspicion that Ward stock was way over bloated.

It’s funny that no one wanted to fight Kovalev till Ward beat him, they waited for Ward to show his vulnerability it’s one thing beating a undefeated fighter and it’s another thing beating a once beaten version of that fighter.

Not sure that's correct, Kovlaev looked cooked against Chilemba just before the Ward 1 fight !

    table salt or sea salt

if it works when whyte beats Parker dropping ajs
it works when Alvarez beats the crusher in a more definitive and decisive fashion with nothing stacked in his favour
you do not advocate double standards does thee

So when Kovalev lost last night he was at exactly the same level as he was when he fought Ward?

    How have you established that?

    The first fight Ward lost

Opinions are often based on double standards. So yes, I do.

Parker is approaching his peak though not falling off it, so double standards are also logical here. I'd hold any boxer in his 20s to different standards to one in his 30s when considering physical conditioning which I feel was Kovalev's issue last night.
