Everything is wrong about this. When Dirrell hit the floor, he was fouling. He was hanging on and Froch simply spun out while Dirrell was latched on. If Dirrell wasn't fouling Froch in the first place, it wouldn't have happened.

I will give you the hit on the break though, that was wrong.

Froch laid gloves on Direll quite a bit BTW.

It has been responed to several times. Froch fans (including me) claims that Froch used rabbit punshes in respons of Dirrell ducking low. Do you have any reply to this, or you rather have the debate keep running in cirkles?

I think we should not discuss about a fight that was soooo ugly.

I guess that I'm the odd man out here because I don't think that either of them are particularly dirty. The butts in the Kessler/Ward fight have been totally overblown by a bunch of bitter losers who were expecting Ward, the prospect, to get his ass handed to him that night. Froch fouled Dirrell a few times out frustration about Dirrell's spoiling in that fight. I actually think that Dirrell deserved it. If he'd showed up with a plan to fight instead of running and holding, he would have beaten Froch handily. Whenever he let his hands go in that fight, he made Froch look silly, but I digress. I've never seen Froch resort to fouling like that in any of his other fights.

No, I agree with you. Neither fighter is dirty. The ward kessler headbutt was anything but intentional. How was ward supposed to even SEE kessler when he was ducking and he was underneth him? just a bunch of mad ward haters.

Can't stand ward. Hypejob had it easy. Froch to take him in deep waters and drown him.

Hard to read all the bashing of 2 great fighters in arguably the best division in boxing. I dont see ward or froch as dirty fighters. But rather 2 highly competitive sportsman who REALLY doesnt wanna lose. Frustration and unintentional fouls will creep in, in those situations. As for Dirrel...dont like him one bit. If he tries the running game against a guy like Oosthuizen, he will be outpointed at the very least. A come forward fighter with reach and speed like that, will beat him down.

This is what Ward's trainer wanted to achieve by saying that crap (if he really did)...

He knew that Ward was known as a very dirty fighter ... and is trying to divert the attention a little to Froch.

Childish, rubbish and ridiculous... and it will not succeed.

Apart from the Dirrell fight, which other fights has Froch been dirty?

Ward has cleaned up quite a bit after the Kessler fight. Occasionally throwing an elbow or hitting after the bell, but thats random stuff. He does a lot mauling on the inside, but that is just bending the rules, not overstepping them. So I agree with you, in his later fights he is fairly clean.

But the headbutt WAS epic and I disagree with people trying to write it off. You cant place your forehead is position, and then charge straight at your opponents head and say "Ooops, I did not mean to." Thats streetfighting, not boxing. Besides look where Wards eyes are going during his billy goat attack. It can be suspected he tries to measure the position of his victim.

It wasn't the headbutts only. Remember that Kessler before the fight was told firmly by the ref "NOT to use his head". Then his opponent is on a rampage head first. If I was in Kessler's shoes I would have thought ``WTF is goin´ on here!". Was it a setup? And then you find out Ward is going to have all his fights at home. Fishy! Fishy! :think

Funny all those 'accidental' headbutts happen in Wards fights.

Listen. Ward is DIRTY. His style is DIRTY. He swings his head into his opponents face which is anything but unintentional. It's an integrated part of his style. He cannot help himself.

    End of story.

Pot and the kettle with this one.

They're both dirty fighters, and it makes the fight more intriguing. This isn't going to be a slap fest or some dance recital, these two are going to try to beat the hell out of eachother.

If it requires some rough housing dirty tactics, I'm pretty sure both of these guys are more than willing to use them.

    :thumbsup
