The USA is the most corrupt boxing nation at the moment, I would be more careful about sending fighters there.
Nobody had a wider gap than 114-112 either way, so how is this a robbery? I had BHOP up a little too but lets not get carried away. Don't get knocked down twice if you want to win a fight. Simple.
Widely regarded as last year's robbery of the year happen on the same place. Joan Guzman vs Ali Funeka 1
I can't remember.Which one, exactly, was the Canadian?:-(Canada is no more corrupt than anywhere else.It is no cleaner nor honest than anywhere else, either.
ask ali funeka and gary shaw if Canada is fair... he looked like he opened his front door and everything was gone
I agree with Pascal; it is the challenger who has to prove beyond a doubt that he won the fight not the other way around. It was a very close fight (I had Hopkins 115-112, but I can understand the draw or Pascal winning) and I think it would have been more of an injustice if the champ lost his title in such a disputed and close decision. When scoring close rounds you should favour the champ if you can't score it an even round.
ali is like one of those names like Pat or francis I suppose... No girls with the name Ali come to mind. alley perhaps.
How about "DO NOT SEND YOUR FIGHTER ANYWHERE" Robberies happen all over the place. Pascal-Hopkins was only the third worst robbery on THAT DAY, one of which was in Germany and one of which was in Argentina. I wish it wasn't true, but it's rarer for the away fighter to get a fair shake than not to. I can't think of a place where, in a close fight, the hometown guy isn't more likely to win.
I dont know if its any worse than anywhere else tbh, just that its more magnified when big fights happen outside of America, as most big fights happen in! America.
