Enzo v Banks isn't a big enough fight and neither would Cook's first fight as I can't see him being put in with a bigger name at his weight, especially yet :huh

 

so basically amir khan will only be able to fight twice a year so frank can put a "world" title fight on the same bill and sell it as ppv.

 

Yep, it'll probably fail but Warren won't put a Kahn+Enzo+Cook card togther and not make it PPV. Mark my words!!

 

I guess he doesn't have a choice after signing a deal with Sky for PPV's.
What I don't get though is it is very likely they lost money on the last PPV.

So it's almost certain they will lose money again so why continue with it as they can't sell it :huh

It doesn't make sense though.
A PPV and two the boxers have been exposed badly and then Cook, who well done to him on winning a title but he isn't really a genuine world champion yet in my eyes.

 

I agree, I wonder what the financial situation was with the last Khan fight? Maybe Warren feels he has to maintain the "brand image" and keep Khan PPV rather than admit defeat?

 

How does a PPV 'lose money' compared to a free to air show? Presunably the costs of broadcast are identical.

Did they still have ad breaks in the last Khan PPV? Presumably, even if so, the revenue is lower due to lower viewers? Not sure how much by though and how many buyers are needed to offset that.

 

Charging less for adverts the obvious one, I'd also guess that Warren would get a lower guarantee on his contract which he'd hope to offset with his share of the PPV?

Prescott in some minor world title fight anyone?? as he does now have Khan's incontinence, sorry Inter-continental belt now.... I wouldnt put it past Warren to bill this as a major belt to the casual fans

 

How can Khan possibly be top of the bill on PPV?
