The BBC's coverage is pathetic. This fight ended about 20 minutes ago and yet there is nothing on the BBC site that gives the result.
If you click on boxing, you get to watch all the fights from today but you cannot skip any and there is no up to date reports.

    ****ing garbage.

Fair enough, my mistake on the feed being live. However, I am justified in suspecting it was on delay as I used to be able to watch the 100 metre final on Eurosport and then flick over to see the same race about to start on the BBC and being billed as "Live".

The fact remains that it is over 30 minutes since the Rau'shee Warren fight, and the "Latest Results" page for the BBCs Olympic Boxing coverage does not even have the result. That is pathetic.

Of course focus will be on out athletes, but I expect every latest result to be on there within 5 minutes, 10 minutes tops.
Secondly the guy in question is the World Champion and gold medal favourite. You would think reporting the results of favourites would be a priority.

EDIT: In fact it is almost 1:30 since the Warren fight. How long do they want to put up a result?

1503: America are enduring another poor Olympics in the boxing ring: they've already lost four of their nine boxers and the first round action isn't over yet. World flyweight champion Rau'shee Warren left the Olympic boxing competition in tears after he was outpointed by South Korean Lee Oksung by one point on Tuesday. GB head coach Terry Edwards had already questioned the judging after bantamweight Joe Murray's first round defeat.

Yeah brilliant isn't it? 15:03 is the first report of a gold medal favourite crashing out in the boxing.
And the fight took place at about 12:40.

Almost 3 and a half hours later the BBC manage to report the result.

Got this from the Detroit Free Press:

    ------------------------------------------------------------------
BEIJING — American flyweight boxer Rau’shee Warren suffered a stunning upset loss today in the first round at the Beijing Olympics.

The 2007 world champion was confused about the score at the end of his bout against South Korea’s Oksung Lee and did not even attempt to land punches he would have needed to convert in order emerge victorious. Instead, Warren lost, 9-8. It was his second straight first-round exit at an Olympics.
As Warren walked to his corner after the fight, he asked, incredulously, “You mean I lost?” according to USA Boxing coach Dan Campbell. When Campbell confirmed the decision, Warren threw his mouthpiece into the corner and flung his headgear out of the ring.
Afterward, Warren sobbed into the arms of a USA Boxing publicist, saying, “I want to go home.”
He had become the first American boxer in 30 years to qualify for consecutive Olympics and was a favorite to win the gold medal here. He said he thought he was beating Lee at the end of the fourth and final round, so rather than attack by trying to throw more punches, Warren moved around to avoid Lee. Warren didn’t try to score punches until the final four seconds when Campbell implored him to fight.
“I didn’t know,” Warren said. “There was so much going on. I felt like I should have been up. I feel like it wasn’t the right scoring. It’s not right.”
In the final minute, Warren looked up into the crowd toward some of his fans, who he thought were telling him to “get happy.” But over in Warren’s corner, Campbell was telling him to throw punches.
Campbell suggested that the scoring of the match might not have been fair to Warren.
“I’m almost speechless,” Campbell said. “Some things you never want to say, so I won’t. But it was just weird the way the scoring went.”
    ------------------------------------------------------------------

I've got sympathy, but on the other hand...why the hell would you think people were yelling "get happy" at you?

Why are you running and not throwing a punch ?? Bad strategy when its been shown the scoring is questionable... And even with questionable scoring I would say its a bad strategy.

    Anyone see the fight?

The scoring at this olympics has been terrible, and NOT just in boxing.

Watching some diving the other day, and the scoring towards the Chinese teams were WAY the **** outta whack.

Haha he can't be serious. The scoring was fair, Warren fought a sloppy fight and i feel bad that a guy of his talent is going in the 1st round but he can't make excuses, he didn't handle it, he lost focus and thought wrong. The commentators were saying his corner told him he was up but if this is the real story i don't feel so bad for him. I'm guessing his fans were saying 'get busy', still maybe he should of been focused on the fight instead of looking in the crowd. The same thing almost happened to Andrade the other night, seems these guys haven't handled the expectations and pressure very well.

I think that's exactly it, they were trying to tell him he needed to throw more and instead he seems to have taken it as a request to start smiling more or telling funny jokes to the ref or something.
