I did hear a podcast on the rematch today in which the presenters said they wanted to see how fury came back from defeat. Would he react like an Ali or Lewis, for example, and prove himself again? To me discussions like this work on the premise that a) he wants to, and b) he even has the time, physically and age-wise, to come back. I'm really not sure about either.

Yeah let's not forget he had broken nose + he took QUITE a lot of damage, and was literally gone in the 9th. round. So his punch resistance will be even worst now. :D

    Nah.

It's about legacy, IMHO - he gains no legacy from fighting Joshua and winning... He loses his assumed #2 status if he loses to Joshua (and people might start asking questions about Parker for #3 if Joshua won in dominant fashion).

He doesn't really need the money.

He probably doesn't want the challenge for challenges sake or he'd have taken that fight already, and taken Usyk earlier.

I don't think it happens, honestly.

You have got to give him credit. Fury knows his boxing. He didn't want to fight Usyk even before Usyk beat Joshua. He was asked before Usyk-Joshua 1 if he would ever fight Usyk and he said no. For all the taunts calling him a middleweight, he was always petrified of Usyk's ability.

Fury will make an announcement next week with me by his side.

We will return for the rematch. I will carry him to victory. There will be no John Fury's. No Andy Lee's telling him he has already won. No Sugar Hill's calling him a big dog.

The moment Fury seen this memes, he is done.
Can you imagine Fury goes all the laughing and embarrassment through the press conference, and getting mocked all around ?
Bro, even the Turki is mocking Fury:

Can’t believe people are writing fury off. I thought he looked great on Saturday night. Can’t stand the man, but found myself really enjoying watching him seemingly dismantle Usyk…..until Usyk turned things around. I’m not a fan of usyk either so was nice to watch a fight where I wasn’t really bothered who won.

I definitely wouldn’t say the rematch result is a done deal….i wouldn’t be surprised in the slightest if Fury won it.

He has got a huge ego and I’m sure there will be a rematch. Could be better than the first fight.

Thanks for this. I remember this. A lot of Fury fans and even boxers like Andre Ward dismissed Usyk (even after Usyk beat Joshua) saying that Fury has too much mass. Lol. Fury was at least smart enough to know that a southpaw with excellent fast footwork and a good left hand and great endurance is a nightmare.

    You're welcome

Yeah you have to take things the called experts say with a pinch of salt sometimes. Usyk has everything required to cause these behemoths nightmares and Belly knew that long ago

Its not impossible for Fury to win the rematch. People are giving Fury a hard time because he ducked this fight for so long and kept taunting Usyk as a middleweight.
