Then why didn't they ask for that in writing, you know before they signed the contract? ****ing amateur hour from Whytes team. To me it sounds like Whyte was banking on Hearn winning purse bids and just made loads of assumptions about what he would and would not get with regards to the contract. The fact he is acting unprofessionally now is probably just making Warren become more petty over things like tickets.
The fight will happen, Whyte will be run out of the boxing community if he turns this one down now. I don't think even Dillian is thick enough to turn down this kind of payday - as it's basically life changing money for him.
As Dean Whyte said its unheard of. They have never needed to demand such a thing in a contract as that's just how it has been done. Why can matchroom provide main event fighters with tickets but Warren can't? I really don't see how you can side with Warren over this tickets issue. This is a 90k stadium and the fighter in the main event shouldn't have to be asking for tickets for the fight.
I hope you are right. I just have a bad feeling, perhaps the lack of promotion is getting to me. I agree he could never live this down if he pulls out now, but I will never underestimate the stupidity of mankind.
We've literally got people arguing that Big Frank should allocate tickets for Whyte's dogs. That's where we are in 2022 folks
You either bring interview or an article or you just don't talk about it, cause there was NEVER a 35% offer. Whyte never really wantd 45%. Even Hearn admitted this. He said Fury team is offering just 20% , and then they will hold for the 45% that are what Interim should have get. When asked Hearn said, yeah obviously this is a starting point and we want to meet something in the middle. And something in the middle if you can count is exactly around 35%, which Whyte definitely deserved. The only reason all the ticket were sold, was not just because of Fury, but he fight. Whyte is big in UK, and it's always been like that. Going on the press or not going on the press, doesn't mean *****, cause obviously the contract was signed and match was ON, and everyone broadcast it. That is for the Wembley tickets. Obviously if Whyte was to promote the fight more, goes on to the press and so on, the fight could sell more PPV and etc. But i never care anything else, than the match. All of the other things for me are b.c. and irrelevant.
Wheres the evidence that Fury is 'selling tickets'? This sounds like more garbage from team Whyte. If Whytes 'fans' wanted tickets, they could have logged on like the thousands of other people and bought them online.
As a fan I am disappointed that we haven't seen Whyte and Fury going at it in the build up to the fight. Having a heated press conference always gets the juices flowing before the main event. But I feel Arum, Warren and Fury have brought this on themselves. They have been desperate to make Hearn look bad over the last few years- they stitched him up good and proper with the Joshua v Fury fiasco. The 3 of them have been super smug since Joshua lost to Usyk. Then it looked liked Fury was trying to get out of fighting Whyte until it was officially ordered. He did the video were they were all laughing and mocking Whyte/Hearn in gym. Now Whyte (rightly or wrongly) is playing games with them and they don't like it. Bet Hearn is loving it (and you can't blame him)
You honestly believe a fighter shouldn't be able to sell tickets to his people? Surely you don't think Tyson Fury makes all his friends and family join the race for a ticket with everyone else. C'mon I know you want to defend Warren but get real. What planet are you on? Fighters sell tickets all the time.
From the same person who said tickets were sold to ticketmaster. Something Warren claims he doesn't do lol
If you go back and look through it all, Hearn has done his fair share of **** talking over the years as well. Said Wilder vs Fury would never happen, Fury was finished , Fury isn't a draw etc. Ultimatley in the fight game, everyone is going to talk ****.
Hearn loving the fact that Dillian is getting 18% minus the future obvious penalties for failing to promote, getting no tickets and it still sells 90k and does 1.5 million PPV buys. LOL he must be ecstatic!!! Dillian might be playing games but I don't think Fury, Frank and Bob give a ****. It will be his loss and make him look bad in the long run. The failing to promote doesn't seem to have done much damage and they will take pleasure deducting his purse for it.
