Whyte is on Sky though. Dubois is on BT Sport which doesn’t sell as much. The biggest names all seem to end up on Sky.
We don’t know what BT will or won’t sell yet as they are still new in the game. I would also argue that the days of Sky Sports news etc being a factor are long gone. BTs digital reach also dwarfs Sky by a huge amount. On YouTube Dubois viewing figures even against Lartey, Tetteh and Fujimoto are all over 1m plus abs completely dwarf Whyte’s even against Parker. But again, we will have to see what that happens sales wise with BT.
Warrens needing to give it up tbh. Still not paying fighters. Embarrasing matchmaking. Wbo handshakes. Bigging up his talent by fighting guys miles off their level. Tommy fury etc. Pretty sure he slagged hearn off for the same type of thing before declaring its great for the sport. Its been desperate stuff for a while from frank. Such an allegation couldn’t/wouldn’t/shouldn’t be made without substance and would surely be sued if it weren’t factual.
Hypothetically FW wouldn’t have been able to bring DW back after a defeat to AJ and build him to be a PPV fighter imo.

The cohort of PPV Mugths pays the chosen few fighters, Eh Day and Warden, plus Sky and BT handsomely - as long as the mugths keep giving, Eh Day and cronies will keep on taking.
Boxing would be better off without Warren. You can’t possibly tell me that when they turned pro the likes of Yarde saw visions of himself having his first world title fight in some Russian backwater on a channel nobody was watching? Frank’s been past it for years hence the flow of traffic being 90% away from him. Boxing fans are sick of his safety first approach and his shows and promotions look dated. Add in all the genuinely disgraceful stuff like not paying fighters and the package top to bottom is seriously flawed.
Nobody was was watching Yarde on BT sport and ESPN in the US...? have a day off Mrs Hearn. I guess nobody will be watching Franks cracking little small hall show on Feb 22 or the Dubois - Joyce PPV.
It’s a figure of speech, but I imagine Yarde was hoping his first world title fight would be some major event as opposed to something in the middle of nowhere with about five of his fans present whilst 99.9% of the UK sports viewing public are watching Jack Leach try to rack up dot balls.
warren gets the treatment just as much as hearn on here tbh.Though Hearn is an elite promoter while warren is southern area level.
Figures of $4m dollars for Yarde’s purse were flying around...most fighters will never get a sniff at that sort of earner and would fight on the moon let alone Russia to get it. In reality, he probably got nearer to £1.5m sterling, but either way he’s made big money and good luck to him.
