Article on the front page of ESB saying Frank Warren has offered Haye a fight with Skelton.

Would be a bad idea and a time consumer.

Not to mention Skelton makes anyone look bad.

    No, No, No.

Isn't Skelton supposed to be fighting Peter?

Nah that was just Warren passing wind. Skelton can not fight Peter due to his commitments to fight Samil Sam, I guess that means he will not be able to fight Haye either, although Skelton should be rested enough by the time Haye wants to fight again. I doubt this will happen.

The conversation might go something like this-

Warren: Come fight my exciting, young, highly regarded HW Matt Skelton. If you win I'll get you a shot at a vacant WBO title, and then we can make fifty defences against the boys from the "bum of the month club". What d'ya think?

Haye: F#*k Off you boggle-eyed freak.

End of story; Haye moves on to fry bigger fish.

I think Haye makes easy work of Skelton. Skelton has nothing for him. Haye would box the **** out of him but while scoring he'd be hurting. Skelton is slow, ponderous, there to bit hit and not a very good fighter. Sure he can maul but I think Haye needs to deal with that. He has the footwork, offence and defence to deal with it. Haye knows how to tuck up and fight in the pocket.

Skelton is a good fight and immediately pits Haye as the best heavyweight in Britain.

Wouldn't be a bad start for Haye's heavyweight campaign. Skelton's got that Inside fighting which could give Haye problems due to lack of Haye's Inside game and he has a good chin as well.

Better than Rahman who would be made for Haye due to Hasim relying on the jab. to box Haye.

Haye would retire Skelton. Warren could make a **** load of money putting Haye in with good opponents, its clear for anyone that knows boxing that Haye will only come unstuck agaisnt Wlad.

Did warren try and sign Haye when he 1st turned pro?

I wouldn't mind seeing this one. I don't think he'd just blow him away like he did Enzo.

How Is that clear? Haye's chin Is shaky and he has a lack of Inside game which could be bad If fights guys like Ruiz and Skelton. He's very right hand reliant too and bends down as he jumps In to throw It with left low.

Haye should avoid this match-up and fight a heavyweight who actually wants to box. Skelton could cause problems if he survives the initial onslaught tying Haye up and leaning on him, putting his head in etc. All bollox and frankly Haye is too good for it.

Go to America and leave the celebration of morbid obesity that is the British Heavyweight scene behind.

Well Haye said he's fighting a top 10 heavyweight next- I don't think Skelton falls into that category.

Klitschko leans and ties a fighter up alot as well.

America's HW's are much more obese, the Russian ones are the most cut and defined.

Indeed but he'll get more credit/exposure if he beats them.

Skelton seems an affable chap but I seriously do not want to watch him fight ever again. Haye doesn't need this fight.
