He needs to kick his career up the arse and I think this will be good for him," Warren said candidly.

"Bill likes to be tested, and for him it says a lot about his character that he's willing to go there. We've had lots of conversations about this, obviously. The end of the day he could have fought here but Bill felt it was best for him to go there."

The invisible carrot being dangled for Saunders could well be a mega-fight against Canelo Alvarez or Gennady Golovkin in 2018, which is part of the reason that Saunders-Lemieux is taking place.

"If we go to Canada we get primetime HBO and we feel that's important for him at this stage of his career," Warren explained.

"Obviously, he's got to win the fight and winning over there, we believe, will force the issue with getting Golovkin or Canelo.

"He knows he's got to go out there and look a million dollars and that for him is going to be something that inspires him, I hope."

Saunders v Lemieux screams boxer versus puncher. The elusiveness and boxing brain of Saunders against the heavy handed Canadian, who has power to turn anyone's lights out as Curtis Stevens found out in March. An ending that is a sure-fire contender for knockout of the year.

"He's a big puncher, there's no doubt about that but if boxing was all about who punches the hardest we wouldn't need judges or referees," Warren opined.

"For me, all I'm concerned with is that he gets a fair shake out there. Bill's not a slouch when he wants to let them go himself. Bill's got pace, good work rate and he's got a great boxing brain, and he's never been on the floor as a pro. I just feel this fight will bring the best out of him. The fear factor, the whole thing."

With poor judging in the public eye this year, last year and so on, Warren himself told 'Scene that he will be making sure that a neutral official and judges are in place for Saunders' third title defence.

"That's what we've told them, we want neutral officials, of course we do. That's what we're looking for. It's important. We've seen some bad judging over the last few months, which has not been good for the game, and we need to ensure that the people who will be there will be competent and fair. I'm sure they will be."

Eddie would have brought Lemieux to the UK. PPV stadium fight.

    Franks lost his touch.

You can bring those judges from Mars if you want Frank, its not like you're fighting an American in the USA lol, where if you ask neutral judges they look at you like you're some weirdo, and act like they never heard about this before

He just needs to win, don't worry about looking too good.

If he looks too good he might be seen as too high risk/low reward

Canelo doesn't need Saunders, Canelo won't be able to be undisputed without the WBC any way. Canelo will always take the biggest pay day.

GGG should take the fight if he's what he portrays himself to be but we all know he's a money fighter too. He might just go for WBSS winner, which is a harder fight but also much, much bigger reward.

    GGG is a natural 168lber

He getting some good cash out money I don't care what him Frank are saying a camp with Ingles doesn't make your flaws disappear and that Monroe fight was more like a sparring session he didn't get pushed at all in that fight and if he didn't train hard for the tibbs his not gonna do it for the Ingles unless his training with kid Galahad

not being racist but the gypsy's turning up at fury and bjs fights really affects the turnout. no body wants the aggro of little kids running around punching men in the balls and the like.

so it's not entirely fwank's fault.

Lets be honest here Lemieux isn't exactly the fittest and most conditioned bloke either, he has some terrific attributes but he also has glaring weaknesses.

Saunders looks good, he's in shape now I have no reason to believe he won't be in even better shape in December.

Monroe is a B- fighter, Lemieux is probably a B- fighter too, but has A+ punching power so that brings him up to a solid B+

Saunders is A-, with a bit more dedication he would probably be a solid A

This fight is probably a 65-35 or 70-30 in Saunders favour IMO, but a Lemieux win isn't that unlikely

Frank talks a lot of sense a lot of the time. He's not a stupid man but he is a greedy no good **** and that is more than enough to hold him back as a promoter.

How many times has Saunders said his in great shape I think his like degale just has a terrible gas tank and lemeiux is just a good fighter but he will be on Saunders all fight I can see it been the similar to the Hassan n'dam fight he has alot of skill and movement but got walked down By lemeiux I know Saunders has a better chin but I think n'dam hits Ain't harder and he didn't trouble him

Ndam is there to be hit, he isn't really that slick, he has a swarming style and just throws a lot of punches.
Totally different challenge IMO, but Ndam still gave Lemieux a lot of trouble. Lemieux's power was just the difference maker.

I think David will struggle to land those big blows on Saunders which is why I have Saunders as a decent favourite.
Unlike a lot of people I give Lemieux less chance in the later stages, Lemieux will be just as tired as Saunders.

Saunders has never fought a puncher like lemieux and doesn't have the power to keep him off and lemieux will be on him all fight hitting any where that he can and he will hurt Saunders at some point and That will cause him to lower his output and it's in Canada he will not get the close rounds
