Calzaghe has done a lot better than Vitali in his career.

1) He's unified a division, Vitali has never even come CLOSE.

2) He's fought and beat a great fighter, even an old one. Vitali got his face rearranged by an aging great and lost.

3) Calzaghe has never quit in a fight.

 

Exactly, Calzaghe has achieved way more than Vitali, as well as having a much better resume.

What Warren says is right on the money. And surprise surprise, he manages to slag off Hatton and Froch as well

 

Love both fighters but Calzaghe has achieved more in his career, he has held all 4 belts at supermiddle unlike Vitali who has only ever had 1 at a time, plus he quit on his stool while clearly ahead on the scorecards against Bryd. Vitali needs to try and get the fight with Valuev because he hasnt got long left in boxing.

Hiding in your country to defend your belts for a decade and beating up nobodies to finally taking on, and CHERRY PICKING, fighters past there time prime does not constitute greatness. You don't hear Vitali refusing to fight Arreola, Haye, Valuev and etc. But when you ask SLAPPY JOE why he won't fight the likes of Pavlik, Taylor, or Froch, Bute, you'll get cornucopia of excuses.

 

kessler is a much better fighter than any of those mentioned in your post.
